At noon, the man known as H threw some bread to them, and the two of them ate to stave off hunger.
After eating the bread, Wan Chu'er and Ming Wan took the opportunity to rest and gather their strength. She contacted the Crown Prince again to inform him of their current situation. However, the Crown Prince told them to stay in this small building for now. It seemed this place was safe, and these people would not harm them.
Wan Chu'er was puzzled. Temporary safety did not equate to actual safety. Who knew when these people would make a move, or which other forces might find this place? Anything unexpected could happen then.
The Crown Prince, however, said she was being paranoid and instructed her and Ming Wan to stay put, waiting for him to send the five-letter team to pick them up, forbidding her from making any independent decisions before they arrived.
