Old Liu smiled. Everyone else looked betrayed.
"Zhou Han…"
Zhou Han opened one eye.
Tang Li Yue crouched in front of him, expression sharpening slightly.
The energy around him moved ever so slightly.
It was not smooth, but it was more than what she expected from total beginners. It still merely lingered near his skin, circling in faint currents.
It was a curious sight because the energy slowly seeped in as if his body had already been altered to receive it.
It was not exactly like Lu Chengran, whose power hummed in a focused, blade-like rhythm. Zhou Han's was slower and heavier. Maybe because it was still forming.
Interesting. Too interesting. Zhou Han really was qualified to be a successful experiment.
Lu Chengran noticed her gaze.
"No experiments," he said.
Tang Li Yue clicked her tongue without looking at him.
"I was merely observing."
"That is usually how it starts with you."
"Ah, you wound me."
"There's no blood."
She glared.
