"Tsk, tsk, tsk. How pitiful, to think you became a slave to that witch."
"I said who are you?! How do you know all this?!" Ryan—or whatever was possessing him now—screamed, unable to comprehend how she knew all this.
"…" She regarded him silently for a long moment, then smiled and touched a pendant at her neck, one that Ryan hadn't noticed all through the time he was with her. It was a heart-shaped pendant, nothing particularly special about it, though the way she held it suggested otherwise.
"Do you know why you were placed in him?" she asked, settling into the chair opposite 'Ryan'.
"What are you?" This time its voice sounded a bit… scared.
"You don't need to know that… all you need to know is that you have reached the end of the road," said Selena, a smile spreading across her lips.
"… Why are you doing this?" He tried to escape but suddenly felt something restraining him, though she hadn't moved.
"Let me tell you a story. There was once a mortal who grew so powerful that he transcended beyond the influence of fate and WILL. A mortal who started out on a quest for absolute power. Who became a demigod. This mortal conquered all that stood before them to achieve this power, and with time, this mortal reached the pinnacle, growing so powerful that even the gods began to feel threatened. And there was a reason for that—a simple one. This mortal was never a child of the WILL. This mortal, unlike the Children of Destiny who may appear to have unlimited potential and growth but are in fact restrained by the WILL to reach a certain point of power, was a mere mortal with no such chains. So this growth was boundless, and that… scared them. They felt threatened. If this mortal was to be left as he was, then there was a chance a time would come when this mortal would transcend mere mortal level and challenge them. So they decided to eliminate the variable. But that… was the start of it all—the start of the battle that became the greatest one the primordial gods had ever faced. Gods themselves were sent to put an end to this mortal, but to their great surprise, those gods were slain. And that was supposed to be impossible—gods should be immortal, yet the essence of those gods completely ceased to exist. That was when they realized this mortal was no mere mortal, and as they had guessed, it might be the end of them all—the end of all primordial gods. So many lesser gods were dispatched, and even the fates tried to create coincidences to see to the end of this mortal, but it was all futile—the lesser gods, as well as the attempts of the fates. This mortal was above them all. But then… One goddess proposed an idea… an idea that could be the only way to destroy this mortal." She paused, and her smile faded.
"What does that have to do with… wait, no, that can't be," he said, to which she grinned.
"… The records were brought forth, and all gods infused their essence in the creation of one being—a being which was not made to be powerful, but rather to embody fragility. That being was created, but then they realized that the plan was doomed to fail, for a reason they all knew too well. But there was a way to still make it work, and that way was for a certain goddess to steal a part of his soul and infuse it into this creation." She paused before asking, "Now do you know why she made you do all this?"
The being began quivering, already piecing the fragments together.
"Well, if you still haven't realized it, then that's a shame," she said. Her eyes glowed, and strange symbols—bluish strands of ever-changing symbols—began to emerge from her hands.
"Wait… WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!" The being tried to escape.
But it was futile, as the symbols instantly sank into Ryan's chest.
"I am sorry, but… he belongs to me alone. No one else."
