The various Awakener Academies alone possessed terrifying foundations. Every major academy had at least one peak Rank Four expert overseeing it, and the strongest academies possessed Demigods.
Some even had multiple, like Verdant's Edge Academy, the institution Michael attended.
Within the Federation itself, setting aside the Chairman who stood above everyone else, among the remaining twelve Pillars only four had truly crossed the boundary into the Demigod Realm.
The other eight were all peak Rank Four experts who stood only a single step away from that threshold.
Of course, this did not mean the Federation possessed only five Demigods. Far from it.
The Federation's military, hidden departments, and countless affiliated organizations still contained numerous Demigods who did not occupy seats among the Thirteen Pillars.
Likewise, the academies, the great clans, and independent factions all possessed terrifying experts of their own.
