I looked at the girl's who heard everything as they already started probably planning what they're going to do with an extra $100,000 to play with.
I spoke, "Maybe but as you said they're currently amateurs for the most part. Meaning yes at their current level $100,000 may be worth double or even triple of what they're currently capable of making. What's not to say if they got the right equipment and the right help that their content isn't worth double or triple more than what you're offering."
The female spoke, "But they're not."
I smiled as I added, "Yet."
There was a quiet moment as Morgan was obviously looking at the female off screen and I could tell I was muted as they were clearly speaking.
Kumi quickly spoke, "What are you doing?"
Kel looked at Kumi and answered, "He's trying to get you more money. Let him work."
Kumi sighed as she sat back and folded her arms under her chest.
I ignored them as I patiently waited.
I picked up my cup and took a sip of my coffee.
I decided to put myself on mute as I looked around the table of girl's who had been watching me mess with their possible income that might be given to them though they all had given me conflicting statements.
Originally it was no we don't want to do porn.
No that offer is bullshit.
That isn't enough money.
Now they were looking at me like they were all ready to say Yes to the money and let the chips fall where they were.
Well almost ALL of them. I looked over at Kel who simply smiled at me and nodded.
I looked at the once confident Levi sister's who were defiantly against the original offer before the call but the bump up to $100,000 I saw doubt in Heidi's eyes while Jaime was watching me intently. Ok half of the Levi sister's had doubts. The other had more of a primal look in her eyes.
I ignored her and went back to paying attention to Morgan as he looked nonplussed showing hardly any reaction just simply talking.
And I watched.
And watched.
I could tell by the conversation that Morgan was having it was pretty deep.
That or they were trying to figure out how much I would be willing to accept their demands for the girl's as they tried to dupe us into thinking their deal was so kind and admirable to their situation.
Eventually after a little bit, Morgan unmuted his end and I unmuted mine so they couldn't hear what we were talking about. Don't want them to hear that they girl's were beginning to consider their offer.
Morgan spoke, "Here's what we can offer now. If you don't accept it then we will have to go back to our upper management to see what we can do."
I nodded, "Ok I'm listening."
The female spoke, "I can go as high as $120,000 for their first year. If they gain roughly 80% more followers they might be eligible to have our sponsorship reconsidered. However if they lose more than 20% of their followers our sponsorship will go away. At least every other video they create must be uploaded to us where we will copyright that video meaning it cannot be uploaded to their individual channel. They keep their current and all other content on their account as long as all videos have a redirect to our website. AND at least once a month they come over to our studios for either a photoshoot or a video shoot."
I looked around the table to see the girl's. I looked down at Morgan and said, "Hold on," and put them on mute.
I looked at the girl's, "Well?"
Heidi immediately spoke, "Sounds reasonable."
Jaime looked at her sister, "They still want you to do porn sis."
Heidi shrugged, "It'll help build my fan base at least."
Jaime blinked at her, "You can't be serious?"
Heidi sighed, "I said it sounds reasonable. Not completely out of the realm of doable."
I looked at Kumi, "How about you?"
Kumi thought it over for a moment before she sighed, "I'm already in hot water with my boyfriend. Don't want any more trouble so doing the photos or videos is a no go for me."
I looked at Bonnie. Bonnie thought about it before she spoke, "It's more reasonable. Don't really like loosing half my videos to them," before she spoke, "I guess I'll do it."
I nodded and moved over to Anita. Anita looked at me, "The money is hard to say no to but going to them for photos or videos that more than likely will not be mine is a solid no from me."
I nodded and moved onto the next girl and the next. Felicity was in though she wasn't happy losing half her videos like Bonnie. Josephine was out plainly not wanting to do porn. Georgina was in.
Finally I looked at Kel, though I already knew her answer, I wanted her to speak in front of the girl's so they could hear her thoughts of the deal.
Kel looked at me confused as to why I would look at her as she sputtered, "What?"
I spoke, "What do you think of the deal they are presenting?"
She looked around at the girl's who seemed to be patiently waiting to hear her answer before she looked at me then it dawned on her what she thought I was doing. She cleared her throat and spoke, "For me the money is still laughable."
Kumi looked at Kel and spoke, "Of course you do. You're making WAY more money than any of us."
Kel shook her head, "That's not it. I'm saying, though I've only done this for a little bit, that I've only received as much as I have because I'm allowing users to tease me through donations. And I've recently done what Jaime and Kumi have done and uploaded a personal video netting me more money. That's in ONE video....ok THREE videos. AND the month isn't over since I've uploaded them. Who isn't to say if I upload MORE personal videos does that mean I gain more money or lose it? If Vuse makes me upload ALL my personal videos to them then that means I lose money at a fraction of what I could gain."
I smiled as Kel was voicing what I was trying to get at.
Kel continued, "And I know unlike most of you I'm sitting at over 500,000 followers meaning I lose more IF I upload ANY video to Vuse. That gives them nothing but profit. That's before I even consider going to them for photos that won't be mine to put on my account and videos I can't put on my account to make money. And I'm well aware you aren't making nearly as much money as me. But ask yourself this.....are you really willing to leave that much money on the table that you can't touch because you allowed it to happen?"
The girls shrank at hearing Kel's obvious faith in not only me but herself as she so eloquently voiced what I was trying to get at.
They remained quiet for a few moments before Kumi was the one to speak, "So what would you do Kelly if you were in our position?"
