Chapter 302 - Marvel 302

"Right," Max said. "So you're not just Spirit Masters anymore. You're more like meta-humans—your abilities are always active, just not flashy. Perfect for blending into this world."

Lan Xue slowly smiled. "That means we're basically walking super soldiers."

"Exactly," Max smirked. "No glowing rings, no spirit beasts flying behind you. But all the power? Still there. Maybe even more refined."

Mu Qing cracked her knuckles. "So you want us to test it… on that guy?"

"He's tough. Tech-based. Maybe even part-cyborg," Max said. "But you two aren't ordinary girls anymore. This is the best time to see what your new bodies can really do."

Gwen raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like a street fight Marvel-style."

Rize leaned against the railing. "They've got the edge. Spirit Power fused into the body… that's some next-gen stuff."

Max looked toward the horizon. "Go get changed. Something modern. Tight jeans, hoodies, combat gear—whatever works. If you're going to walk into battle in this world, you need to look the part."

Mu Qing and Lan Xue exchanged a glance—both smiling with anticipation—and turned to head inside.

About 30 minutes later…

The sun was dipping low across the skyline. Max stood atop the roof of his sleek company tower, hands tucked into his jacket pockets, watching the city hum to life as lights flickered on.

Gwen stepped beside him, casually sipping a soda. "Think that guy's really gonna pop up again?"

"He will," Max said with a sigh. "Villains like that? They're allergic to subtlety."

As if on cue, a sudden BOOM echoed in the distance. Alarms blared. Plumes of smoke rose from a plaza just three blocks away. The distinct whine of energy weapons cut through the noise.

Max turned toward the direction of the blast, a knowing smirk forming on his lips. "Called it."

He pulled out his phone, tapped a command. "Rize, track the energy signature. Gwen, suit up if you want to join."

He glanced back as Mu Qing and Lan Xue stepped onto the rooftop behind him—wearing sleek black combat gear with light armor plating. Their eyes gleamed with power that no longer needed to be summoned.

"Let's see what you two can really do," Max said. "Welcome to the battlefield, Marvel style."

The city buzzed beneath them—sirens howling, distant screams echoing off glass towers.

Mu Qing and Lan Xue stood at the edge of the rooftop, their eyes locked on the rising smoke and flickers of chaos below.

Max pointed. "Three blocks down. Plaza entrance. He's making a show of it."

Lan Xue cracked her neck. "Then let's give him the kind of response this world deserves."

Mu Qing smiled faintly. "Quick and clean."

Gwen stepped forward and tossed each of them a slim earpiece. "Use these. Max likes to act chill, but he'll panic if he can't hear you mid-fight."

"Gwen—" Max began.

"—Don't deny it," she grinned, leaning on his shoulder before stepping back.

Rize appeared next, her coat fluttering in the wind as she handed a small disc to Max. "I've already set drones to follow and record. Wouldn't want to miss their first proper fight on camera."

Max nodded, slipping the disc into his watch. "Alright, ladies… showtime."

Without another word, Mu Qing and Lan Xue leapt from the rooftop.

Wind rushed past them as they descended, landing in the middle of the smoke-filled plaza with perfect balance, barely cracking the pavement beneath their feet.

Across the open square, a towering figure stood amid the flames—metal plating across his shoulders, half his face replaced by dark chrome, his single eye glowing red. The same figure from before.

"Ah… more of you now," he said, voice mechanical, distorted. "Good. I was hoping Max would send stronger toys."

Mu Qing stepped forward. "We're not toys."

Lan Xue followed. "We're the ones who'll send you home in pieces."

The cyborg chuckled, his arm morphing into a bladed weapon. "Then come. Let's test the worth of your world."

He charged.

Mu Qing moved first—vanishing from her spot in a blur of enhanced motion. Her palm struck his side, the impact sending a visible shockwave through the air. The cyborg skidded back, metal armor dented.

Lan Xue came in from the side, her leg sweeping low with speed and power. He raised his arm to block, only for her strike to crack the ground beneath him and shatter the support servos in his leg.

He growled, systems flaring. "You—what are you?!"

"Our power…" Mu Qing said, appearing behind him in a flicker of movement, "is something you can't imitate."

She launched a series of rapid strikes—precise, brutal, bone-cracking blows enhanced by her Spirit-infused body.

Lan Xue joined in, moving like a ghost—blows that shattered concrete, kicks that cratered steel.

From the rooftop above, Gwen whistled. "Okay… that's insane. They're literally walking weapons."

Max nodded, a proud grin on his face. "Told you. They don't need rings to show power."

The fight below intensified—the cyborg firing off bursts of energy, blades swinging wildly, buildings getting sliced apart. But the two girls didn't let up.

They moved in perfect sync. Every strike landed. Every dodge was fluid. Every hit they took, they returned tenfold.

Finally, with a coordinated double-palm strike to the chest, they sent him crashing through a dozen parked cars and into a wall, unconscious and sparking.

Smoke rose. Silence followed.

Lan Xue exhaled slowly. "Not bad for our first time."

Mu Qing brushed ash from her shoulder. "I didn't even need to go all out."

They looked at each other and smiled.

Back on the rooftop, Max leaned back and clapped twice. "That's my girls."

"They literaly toyed with him, just using thier enhanced body, they didn't even use thier power of Lighting Rabbit and Heaven's bane Ivy" Gwen said clapping as Rize and Malaika nodded.

" I don't know what kind of fools are these, who dare to target us" Malaika shook her head speaking of the Cyborg guy.

"Right, I remeber killing them all with just an snap of my fingers, still they dared to target us" he said as other shrugged, "maybe they thought, it was just an sneak attack or something, you know typical villain talk" Rize laughed as other laughed at her joke too.
