Chapter 121: Wing Chun Saitama! The Upgraded Genos!
Chu Yang never expected that after just one fight, he would end up with two disciples in their eighties.
His seniority skyrocketed in an instant!
In the future, when he sees Garou, he can greet him warmly—
"Good grandson, hurry up and call me grandpa!"
Just thinking about it was thrilling.
As for Charanko, who was still in the hospital, if he found out about this, he probably wouldn't want to leave his hospital bed for the rest of his life.
---
Evening.
Sonic returned to the House of Evolution, carrying the corpse of a Demon-level monster.
Suddenly, two gray-haired old men appeared before him.
"Senior Brother!"
WTF?!
What just happened?
Sonic looked at them in horror. Where the hell did I get junior brothers this old?!
Wait a minute—
One of the old men looked oddly familiar.
"Aren't you... Silver Fang?"
"Just call me Bang, Senior Brother."
Sonic immediately waved his hands. "Don't call me that nonsense! I'm the only disciple of Master. If you keep this up, I'm gonna lose it!"
Are you kidding me?!
Master's only disciple is me! If you guys are trying to ride on our coattails, I'll burn you to ashes with my Fire Release!
---
Later, Genos arrived and explained everything in detail, even sincerely congratulating Sonic on gaining two junior brothers.
NANI?!
So it was actually true?!
Sonic, look at what you've done!
You literally let wolves into the house!
When Sonic realized that he had personally brought Bang to the House of Evolution, his heart ached so much that he could barely breathe. I actually helped cultivate an enemy with my own hands!
One Mosquito Girl (Mia) was already giving him headaches, and now there were two more powerful brothers with S-Class hero strength?!
"All my future achievements are going to be stolen by them!"
"This means I'll have fewer chances to prove myself to Master!"
Sonic's face was filled with despair.
The next second, his expression suddenly turned vicious.
"If there's no other way... I'll just kill them all…"
Sonic licked his lips, a chilling thought surfacing in his mind.
---
"Senior Brother, who are you planning to kill? If it's a monster, we can help you."
At some point, Bang had appeared beside Sonic, looking at him with a gentle, grandfatherly gaze.
"I saw you bringing back a monster's corpse earlier. Is this a mission from Master?"
"If it's too much trouble, we can help. We're old anyway and don't have much else to do."
Bomb also looked at Sonic with a kindly gaze.
Sonic was furious!
You guys are going too far!
You just got here, and you're already trying to steal my job?!
As expected, my earlier thoughts were right—danger should be eliminated at the source!
They must be dealt with!
Bang and Bomb watched Sonic cycle through an array of expressions like he was possessed.
They immediately became suspicious.
Is our Senior Brother not very bright?
Should we help Master recruit a few more disciples? Otherwise, his legacy might be lost…
The two of them suddenly felt a heavy responsibility on their shoulders.
---
After dinner, Bang and Bomb left since they still had to deal with Garou and couldn't stay at the House of Evolution for long.
Watching them leave, Sonic finally breathed a sigh of relief. His position was safe for now.
"Hey, Sonic, there's a martial arts tournament coming up. Go check it out."
Hearing this, Sonic instantly became alert. "Master, are you planning to take in more disciples?"
Chu Yang rolled his eyes. "Hell no. There's a monster planning to disrupt the tournament. I want you to gather intel."
Sonic grinned from ear to ear. As long as there weren't any more new junior brothers, it was all good.
"Listen carefully—there's something very important that you need to bring back for me!"
Chu Yang described the appearance of Monster Cells in detail and repeatedly reminded Sonic to retrieve them.
Sonic nodded solemnly, not daring to slack off.
---
"I wanna go too! Charanko gave me a ticket. This is the perfect chance to test out the martial arts you taught me!" Saitama said excitedly.
"When did he give you the ticket?" Chu Yang asked.
"At the hospital. He also called you a fraud."
"Who the hell dares to insult Master?! Which hospital?!"
Sonic was furious, his eyes burning with murderous intent.
"Bang's disciple. Your junior nephew."
Chu Yang said casually.
Sonic quietly sat back down and began planning their family's extermination.
"I don't care who goes, just remember to bring back what I asked for."
Chu Yang got up and returned to his underground laboratory.
Genos hesitated for a moment before following him.
Sonic's eyes widened.
You big-eyed traitor! Are you planning to stab me in the back too?!
Panicked, he hurriedly chased after them.
Inside the room, only Saitama and King remained, completely absorbed in their video game.
"Senior Yang, Dr. Kuseno has agreed to meet with you…"
Following behind Chu Yang, Genos suddenly spoke up.
"Oh?" Chu Yang turned around, looking at him with interest. "What made him change his mind?"
Genos was silent for a moment before speaking firmly, "I need a stronger body! Dr. Kuseno saw the footage I sent him, and he said the machines in your factory possess extremely powerful abilities."
"That's an entirely different kind of mecha technology—it can make up for my current shortcomings."
Chu Yang nodded with a smile. "It's good that you've realized that. When can I meet with Dr. Kuseno?"
Genos hesitated for a moment, then said awkwardly, "The doctor only agreed to meet online. He has security concerns."
"Hmm, understandable. Since it's just a technical exchange, online or offline doesn't really matter."
Chu Yang readily agreed.
The two chatted a bit longer before Genos left. As soon as he was gone, Sonic emerged from the shadows.
"Master, do we really need to exchange technology with others?"
Sonic was confused, as Genos' current performance was nowhere near that of the latest Iron Man suits.
"Sonic, arrogance is a terrifying thing—never let it control you. Who told you we don't need other people's knowledge and technology?"
Chu Yang's face darkened as he harshly reprimanded Sonic.
He had gotten to where he was today by learning skills and knowledge from every world he visited.
More than anyone, he understood the importance of combining strengths.
Seeing that Chu Yang was genuinely angry, Sonic didn't dare to say another word, his face filled with unease.
"Just remember to carry out the task I assigned you."
After comforting Sonic with a few words, Chu Yang entered the laboratory.
Late at Night
Chu Yang met online with Dr. Kuseno, and with Genos joining in, the three of them had a long discussion about mechanical lifeforms.
Toward the end of their conversation, Chu Yang showcased his artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S..
Even through the screen, Dr. Kuseno couldn't hide his shock.
It was an extremely productive and amicable meeting, and both sides gained valuable insights.
By the time the conversation ended, dawn was approaching.
Chu Yang called Genos over and performed a temporary modification on him, upgrading some of his weapons and equipment.
The main focus was on improving his defense and mobility.
Genos' body was too fragile—even without facing a dragon-level monster, he often struggled against demon-level threats.
This was not how an excellent mechanical lifeform should perform.
Martial Arts Tournament
Saitama hummed a little tune as he entered the backstage area of the tournament venue, his fake hair securely in place. Sonic accompanied him, looking impatient.
Sonic didn't want to squeeze into the audience seating, so he followed Saitama into the backstage area instead.
Whenever the venue staff made eye contact with him, his Sharingan would activate a genjutsu, making them subconsciously ignore his presence.
Saitama was a little envious.
While waiting in the lounge, they ran into Charanko's former senior disciple.
After the Garou incident, Bang had disbanded his dojo, including this man.
His name was Senior Disciple Sour Face.
He chattered incessantly about past tournament events.
Bang and Garou had both won the championship before.
In the last tournament, Garou had worn a wolf-head mask and entered under a false identity. Since no one recognized him, the tournament ended up in complete chaos. Because of that, the rules were changed—real-name registration was now mandatory, and wearing wigs was forbidden.
"If caught, you'll face a huge fine and might even go to jail!"
Sour Face's loud voice boomed as he explained, making Saitama break into a cold sweat, his toes practically curling into the floor.
After he finally left, Saitama breathed a sigh of relief, his expression becoming serious.
"I don't think you'll lose, but if you do, it'll be embarrassing for my master," Sonic warned coldly.
"Don't worry!"
Saitama responded enthusiastically, pressing down on the wig on his head.
The tournament began.
The host introduced each contestant.
There was Sour Face, who had founded the Sourface Fist style.
There was Lightning Max, the A-Class Rank 19 hero—the one who had tried to show off his speed against the Deep Sea King and got instantly wrecked.
There was a cute girl named Lin Lin.
There was Sneck, the lowest-ranked A-Class hero—also beaten to a pulp by the Deep Sea King.
The rest were a bunch of random weirdos with over-the-top names.
The host quickly skimmed through them until it was Saitama's turn.
"This man specifically wrote on his questionnaire, 'Please don't hit my head.' It really makes you wonder—is he really here to fight?"
"Wing Chun Fist, Charanko."
From the crowd, Genos stood up and clapped, offering his sincere applause for his beloved teacher.
Standing in the staff corridor, Sonic twitched at the sight.
"This guy still has a mission, doesn't he? His efficiency is terrifyingly high when it comes to watching his master's tournament."
Citywide Chaos
At the same time, various cities were being overrun by monsters.
As if acting in coordination, they rampaged through the streets, causing mass destruction.
In S-City, a dragon-level threat, Elder Centipede, had appeared. S-Class heroes Metal Bat and Metal Knight were battling it, but their status was unknown.
Inside the Hero Association's command center, the situation was dire.
With disasters escalating rapidly, they couldn't reach enough heroes to handle all the threats.
Most cities were on the verge of collapse.
The number of injured heroes kept rising, and an all-out defeat seemed imminent.
Meanwhile, the tournament continued.
Eventually, it was Saitama's turn.
His opponent was a man named Zakos, who mocked him relentlessly before the match.
Saitama ignored him, deciding to let his fists do the talking in the ring.
He planned to showcase his newly learned Wing Chun.
The match started.
Saitama barely assumed a Wing Chun stance when Zakos suddenly rushed at him.
Out of reflex, Saitama lifted his hand—
Smack!
Zakos collapsed instantly, eyes rolling back as he lost consciousness.
He had planned to propose to his girlfriend after winning this match.
But now his flag had been raised… and crushed.
The arena fell into a dead silence.
Saitama stared blankly at the fallen Zakos.
"Wait… I didn't even throw a punch! How did you go down? No! This doesn't count! My Wing Chun hasn't been displayed properly… Get up!"
Saitama was losing his mind.
This wasn't how it was supposed to go!
Chu Yang had told him—true experts found joy in the clash of techniques!
"Damn it! Stand up and fight me properly!"
Medical staff rushed in and carried away the concussed Zakos.
