As Tsunade reached the Hokage office, bored, she found Nara in her position, sulking, and doing paperwork.
After greeting, Nara gave her a brief of what happened during the period she was out of the village.
"What???"
Tsunade shouted out loud, shocked. Her eyes went wide in shock, bewilderment.
"A curse?"
She could not help but repeat what she heard just now. Reko was under a curse?
A curse that will absolutely end him within four years? How could this be possible?
"And he eliminated two of the Akatsuki members on his own?"
She muttered to herself as she thought. The two Akatsuki members were a big deal. In fact, one of them, Kakuzu, was the shinobi who claimed to have eliminated her own grandfather, the god of shinobi.
To eliminate that guy, and another near immortal shinobi was really impressive.
"Damn that guy!!"
She cursed under breath, teeth gnashing as she thought of how reckless and confident the boy could get.
"Where is he? Bring that idiot here!"
She ordered an anbu near the window, wanting to see Reko in an instant.
If the curse meant losing lifespan daily, then it should be treated instantly. It was no joke, she needed to check on him, see his condition.
"Lady Tsunade, he is not here. He is still travelling with Jiraiya and Naruto."
Nara informed her politely. He was expecting her to get angry over this matter. Reko was still her student.
Unfortunately, Reko was not interested in remaining in the village. He also did not force Reko. He was aware that Reko was using the travelling to distract himself from the curse.
"He is traveling? Right now?"
Tsunade appeared even more shocked as she heard this. Her fists clenched, almost wanting to break the table in front of her, but she held back.
She could see fear in Nara's eyes. She took a deep breath and slowly unclenched her fists.
"Haah! What would happen to that boy!"
She sighed, this was too frustrating. She could not even punch someone. Only Reko was capable of taking her punches anyway.
"Just when I thought he was so talented and mature, he goes around showing off against powerful opponents and gets beat down like that."
Tsunade sighed as she spoke to herself, sitting on the chair, she looked into the message that Jiraiya had sent about the incident.
"He was not beat down. It was just that the curse worked even though it was only half prepared."
Nara corrected her as he felt that Tsunade was calming down. In his opinion, what Reko went through was really unexpected.
He did manage to successfully halt the activation of the technique in the middle of it. Unfortunately, it was not enough and he was still affected.
This was something totally unexpected and could not be blamed on his carelessness.
"Right! But he did not need to risk it. He could have easily gotten away."
Tsunade said with a frustrated expression on his face.
There was no need to risk this. Why would he not run away?
"Shouldn't we call him back? You are already here. So, it should be plausible for you to treat the curse."
Shizune, who was listening to everything on the side, stood together with Sakura and suggested.
What was done was done, now they could only wait for Reko to come back and treat him.
"Do it."
Tsunade ordered. The anbu near the window of the Hokage office nodded.
"Well, we could send him a message but there's no need."
Nara slowly spoke after the anbu had already left.
Tsunade stared daggers at Nara, wanting him to speak faster and not play with words.
"He managed to learn Senjutsu while traveling with Jiraiya. And while at it, he also managed to learn Flying Raijin technique."
Nara slowly revealed, the information sent by Jiraiya which she was reading did not contain all this information.
It was all recently learned and they did not bother to document it.
"So, he keeps visiting almost every week in order to eat some of the local dishes from the village."
Nara continued to explain as he saw the look of surprise in their eyes. Sakura and Shizune also stood by the side, listening silently.
"The least it would take to send the message is a week, and that is when they are not travelling. So, it's better if we just wait."
Nara explained his reasoning. There was no need to actually send a shinobi for this message. It was more effective to just wait it out.
That would actually be more effective from his point of view.
"I see. Appoint some of our shinobis to keep an eye for his visit."
Tsunade ordered, sighing, she had not expected to be bombarded with so much information just after the little vacation.
It was exhausting to just listen to it.
"Haah! I sent him to treat that idiot and he has gotten injured instead."
She signalled for everyone including Nara to leave as she muttered slowly under her breath.
This was something she had not expected in her wildest of imaginations.
She just hoped that Jiraiya would not rub some of his perverted habits onto Reko as they both were really into similar things.
Never had she expected that this would happen.
"What do I even do with these guys?"
She sighed. She should have been feeling happy that the boy she had passed onto her skills had grown so strong.
Instead, she had to worry about the boy now. Truly frustrating!
"He did the tests by himself? Well, he is probably the best person to do it anyway."
She wanted to look into the records of the test, if any. But Reko had done the tests by himself and did not bother leaving the results.
She began flipping through the documents related to the curse. She needed to learn whatever the Fuinjutsu experts had found about the curse.
She was also a Fuinjutsu master and could work with the curses. Though not better than Orochimaru, she could still make do with it.
