Zero opened the door of his room and Acid was sitting on a desk, having pouted and angry face and trying to ignore Zero, but Zero was never the one to start a conversation and he was never interested in talking either much, he really considers no one as his friend and all he likes is his work and responsibilities.
But Acid couldn't digest the silence, Zero just started picking up his costume for the night and Acid turned back slightly, looking at Zero and with a little bit of hatred and anger he said, "You liked dragging me back to the classroom and left with your girl. You forgot our friendship in just a second and didn't even hesitate? Do you have any shame or any empathy for others?"
Zero replied straight to it, "It was your fault, you should have already came at the classroom at the right time, but you delayed like everyone did. What were you doing in that one hour? You could have--"
"So this is how you would say to me? You are blaming to me for the punishment? The teacher could have started the classes late for all of us, but what will you even say, you are like her son, don't you?"
Zero looked at Acid with a normal face and replied, "Indeed, she was my guardian who made me join the school when I was a kid, so technically she is my mother although she's too much young to be called mother."
Acid was speechless and more shocked now..."Wait...she...is your guardian...?" Now what could Acid even say then, of course Zero would take her side, she was his Head and he had even worked for her at the organisation and followed all her orders. Nothing matters for him until it comes to the orders he has got.
Zero, for the first time looked a little bit angry from inside and said, "And by time, like you will say earth to stop for a minute, will it really stop? There are some orders and rules to follow, rules breaking is fine but denying that the rule is only wrong, you are wrong at that point."
Acid was more shocked, for the first time Zero was speaking on the face and Zero suddenly came to his senses...he sighed, looking down and apologized, "...I am sorry for whatever I said...ignored that, you were right...I am just a little bit angry from myself I think...but all is fine, you go for your dinner and I am going to get ready and won't be here at night, so don't wait for me."
And Zero didn't say anything and moved to bathroom with his costume and closed the door and Acid was just left speechless and shocked...
"He...is angry from himself...?"
Zero had completely lost his mood, all the time blaming himself that he hurted Alpha and he can't digest that. He was feeling angry from himself, he realised that he has done a mistake and he can't do anything about it other than moving on from it and not to repeat the mistake once again. And he knew to how to avoid his mistakes, to come back to his prime...to become silent again.
The night was up on the dark sky covered with clouds and all the students were at the dinning hall, having their dinner while Zero was absent.
Zero was in his white costume and waiting outside at the forest which was just behind the Academy and he looked around, a little bit sad and thinking that maybe Alpha would be sad and wouldn't appear now. He sighed, he never passed through such situations in all the lives he had lived till now, he looked down and he really doesn't understand human emotions, he tries his best to recognise Alpha's eyes and her taste on which sometimes he is right, but sometimes he mistakes, this time just because he didn't look at her what respond she wanted and he gave his own truth and beliefs which caused this all.
"Oh, so you are already here." Zero's eyes suddenly opened with a panic and he looked at side, and Alpha was in her red costume and she sat next to him, looked up at the sky and the moon which was hidden by the clouds and said, "...I thought you would be upset from me...but I--"
"No, it's me who should apologise." Zero said, the clouds left and the moonlight fell straight on Alpha's face, her eyes were widened with surprises and she looked at Zero, and Zero was looking up at the moon and apologized, "I am sorry that my words hurt you...I never wanted to but I guess I did. I am sorry for hurting you, I didn't mean to hurt you by that."
Alpha was speechless...her eyes started dropping tears and Zero looked at her and he started sweating..."Did I hurt you again...? I...I really--"
"It wasn't your mistake...it was mine, I didn't know that you were already like that, I was wrong...I all the time wanted you to agree and stand with my belief and what I want to listen but when you just told how you really feel...I couldn't accept that...I am sorry...you have accepted me at whatever I am...but I couldn't accept you the same way...I...I am sorry for that... I am sorry for that..."
And Alpha started crying and Zero didn't understand what he should even do, whether what she said was pointing him or she was really serious...but he tried to stop panicking, and looked at Alpha...she was serious about her words, she was really sad about whatever happened. Zero was surprised for a moment, but he just at the end and hugged Alpha and he also apologised, "I am also sorry for my mistakes... let's end this all now and move on from our mistakes and continue living."
And Alpha finally cried and took out the burden of her heart she was holding.
