"Did I end up in some kind of shady lab?!"
Death should've whisked her to the afterlife after being gnawed by a horde of infected beasts. So how come she's in some place shady?
"You gotta be kidding me, right? Did I..." shaking, her jaw tightened while thinking about the unthinkable.
She could already swear even with her eyes closed that this unfamiliar place couldn't be hell much more than heaven.
"Uh... Have I really crossed over to some shitty experimental place to be butchered and made into a freaking chimera by some mad scientists?"
As she lay there, an eerie stillness enveloped her. It wasn't all paranoia.
To fight against beasts and even their own kind, humanity had reached their lowest point and had long cast away their morality to create what they called the perfect evolution of mankind—at least in the hope for salvation.
