"Who is that?" someone whispered.
"Probably her ex or something," another replied in a hushed tone.
"Do you think he's her baby daddy?" a third voice chimed in.
My resolve began to crumble as the world spun chaotically around me. Alan's words from the past echoed in my mind, but here he was—taller, slightly more muscular, with a clean-shaven face and dyed blonde hair. If he was older now, he was still the same person I remembered.
I tried to shake Castiel off and approach Alan to confront him, but Castiel tightened his grip on my hand. "Are you marrying me or him?" he asked sharply, though his tone remained calm.
