A flurry of thoughts raced through Seimei's mind, but he brushed them aside, focusing up. He glanced at his panel one last time before closing it.

Getting to his feet, Seimei headed to the wooden cabin tucked in a corner of the island.

After a quick wash, he stepped inside to rest.

The night passed quietly.

---

The next morning, Seimei was up early.

Stepping outside, he stretched hard, letting out a satisfied groan.

Checking in with himself, he felt his mind and body more relaxed than ever before.

That was the perk of delaying his Mental stat boost by a night.

"Phew…"

With a soft exhale, Seimei finished washing up, then popped a few enhanced soldier pills to fill his stomach.

A few quick flashes later, he was standing in the open clearing at the center of Moon Island.

He sat cross-legged, ready to get to work. Casting Mirror Heart Jutsu, he began stimulating his Sharingan's evolution.

As he did, he could clearly feel streams of unique chakra forming in his brain, flowing toward his eyes.

Or, more precisely, toward the nerves in his eyes.

The stimulation caused subtle changes in those nerves. Ten minutes later—

His eyes snapped open.

In that instant, his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan activated, its black depths darker and more profound than ever before.

"It worked!" Seimei muttered under his breath.

A surge of overwhelming mental energy radiated from him, filling the entire island in a matter of breaths.

For a moment, the whole island fell silent.

But Seimei wasn't paying attention to that. His mental energy was spiking so fast it was getting harder to control.

Without hesitating, he shut his eyes, calmed his mind, and focused every ounce of his will on reining in the scattered mental energy.

Time ticked by slowly.

It took nearly an hour to get it under control.

When Seimei opened his eyes again, the oppressive aura was gone.

"Panel!"

With a thought, he pulled up his proficiency panel.

As expected, with his Sharingan's evolution progress breaking through to (80,000/100,000), his Mental stat had indeed gone up one point, from 38 to 39—another step closer to the 40-point milestone.

The changes were getting bigger, too.

Just moments ago, his surging mental energy had nearly slipped out of his control.

Last time, it had only taken him about half an hour to wrangle his mental energy.

This time? Almost double.

That alone showed how massive the shift was.

Not to mention, he could now clearly feel his mental energy pressing against his physical body.

Good thing he'd already narrowed the gap between his Mental and Constitution stats to just one point.

Otherwise, he'd be in trouble.

Still, today's experience made one thing clear: it wouldn't be long before he'd need to level up his Mental and Constitution stats in sync.

They couldn't afford to be even a single point apart anymore.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Seimei waited a bit longer, letting his body adjust to the spiked mental energy. Then he started testing what else this one-point Mental boost had brought him.

First up: his theoretical chakra cap.

The test was the same as last night. Over ten minutes, he pushed his potential to the limit, tracking changes in his body and chakra cap to estimate the increase.

In the end, he calculated that this Mental stat jump from 38 to 39 had boosted his theoretical chakra cap by about 9.5 million points.

Not as much as the 26 million-point boost from last night's Constitution increase from 37 to 38.

But compared to the 7.5 million points he'd gained from his last Mental boost (37 to 38), this was a solid 2 million more.

It was about what he'd expected, so he wasn't too disappointed.

After a short break to recover, he moved on to testing his chakra recovery speed.

Same drill: he paused Chakra Refinement Jutsu, let his body naturally restore chakra, and watched the Chakra value on his panel.

Ten minutes passed.

Seimei stopped observing.

His panel showed a chakra increase of 613,889 points.

That meant 613,889 points in ten minutes, or about 3,683,334 points per hour. Over a full 24 hours? That's 88.4 million points.

Last night, it was 82.4 million.

So, this Mental boost had upped his chakra recovery by 6 million points daily.

Not as big as the 13 million-point jump from his Constitution going from 37 to 38, but it still beat the 4.5 million-point increase from his last Mental boost (37 to 38).

Seimei was pretty satisfied with that.

With this, his daily chakra surplus would jump from 17.618 million points to 23.618 million.

Of course, that was assuming he didn't tweak his training plan.

Which, obviously, wasn't gonna happen.

With his body transforming, he'd definitely need to adjust his training.

The 66 million chakra points he was pouring into body training wouldn't cut it anymore.

Plus, with his Sharingan's evolution hitting the (80,000/100,000) mark, he could keep pushing its progress.

That would take chakra, too.

And with his mental energy spiking, he could also bump up the number of shadow clones working on his Bloodline Network to make full use of the experience he'd built up over the past few months.

All of this meant his training plan was about to change.

So, the surplus chakra he was calculating now? Just a temporary number.

Clearing his mind, Seimei closed the panel and got ready for a new round of training.

He raised his hands, forming the Ram seal, and cast Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Poof, poof, poof!

Chakra smoke puffed out, and three hundred shadow clones appeared in the clearing.

Their job hadn't changed: go absorb natural energy.

Next, he tapped into the chakra in his forehead's pocket dimension, topped off his reserves, and cast Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu again.

This time, he made seventy shadow clones.

These were for developing his Bloodline Network—five more than the sixty-five he'd used before.

It was a temporary number.

After an hour, when he recalled these clones and reviewed their results, he'd make further tweaks.

With everything set, Seimei sent all the clones off to get to work.
