Chapter 65 - Dawnborne Human

He fell into a deep, quiet sleep—this time not from exhaustion, but because the true evolution had finally begun.

Meanwhile, in the basement of the clinic, everything remained quiet. The air was dim, and the only sound was the soft hum of energy coming from the glowing cocoon in the center of the room.

Cypher sat cross-legged nearby, eyes half-closed but focused. Zephyra stood by a pillar with her arms crossed, eyes fixed on the cocoon.

Neither of them said a word.

Then—click.

A sharp sound broke the silence, like a piece of glass shifting under pressure.

Both women straightened at once.

"That was it," Zephyra said, her voice steady. "The shift just started."

Cypher nodded. "It's happening now."

In front of them, the cocoon started to change. The bottom half slowly turned black like polished obsidian, while the top half stayed bright white. A thin silver line formed where the two colors met, glowing softly.

Cracks began to appear.

Thin lines of light spread across the surface. The shell trembled slightly, as if something inside was ready to come out.

Crack… crack...

Then suddenly—shatter.

A wave of light burst out as the cocoon broke apart. Shards flew into the air and faded into glowing dust.

From the center, Alex stepped forward.

His eyes were still closed, but everything about him felt different. His aura was calm but powerful—clear and steady. Light and darkness mixed around him like they belonged together. The markings on his skin, once chaotic and demonic, now looked balanced—like they were part of him.

Then he opened his eyes.

They weren't fully human anymore. His irises were white, with a faint silver ring around them. He looked calm, in control. There was strength in him now—quiet, but real.

Zephyra stared. "He did it."

Cypher stood up slowly, eyes still on Alex. "This isn't just another level of power. He's changed."

As the soft glow faded around him, Alex stood tall in the quiet of the chamber. His breathing was steady, but something within him had clearly changed. It wasn't just power—it was deeper than that. Calmer. Sharper. Whole.

Then, in front of his eyes, the system interface flickered to life.

[Congratulations.]

[Second Evolution Complete — Dawnborne Human Confirmed.]

[Origin Awakening Detected — First Segment Unlocked.]

[Your Origin Name begins with: "Dawn."]

[Further evolution required to reveal remaining segments.]

Alex stared at the words as they settled in front of him, a calm weight pressing onto his shoulders—not a burden, but a mantle.

[Dual Authority Acquired: Light | Darkness]

Thanks to this evolution, Alex had reached something incredibly rare. He now stood at the intersection of two extremes—not just wielding light and darkness, but maintaining balance between them. A harmony that most beings could only dream of mastering.

Then came the final lines of the report.

[Unique Trait Unlocked — Soul Magic (Dawnborne Variant)]

[Common Racial Traits Gained: Purity Resonance | Mental Fortitude | Soul Anchoring]

[Due to the partial awakening of your Origin Name, your status has advanced.]

[In demon hierarchy: You are now recognized as a Count-Class Demon.]

[Among humans: You are now considered an Ancestral Human.]

[However—by nature and blood—you are a perfect fusion of both.]

[Thanks to your Evolution, you have unlocked an additional Demon Contract Slot.]

[Also, due to the racial trait Soul Anchoring, you can now form bonds with Humans (Limit: 3, will increase with more ascension in power).]

[These human bonds allow you to share a lesser version of your Authorities with them.]

[The same applies to your Demon Contracts — bound demons will receive a diluted form of your granted Authorities.]

Alex nodded at the system's final message, quietly absorbing everything.

Another demon contract slot. The ability to share part of his authority with trusted humans. New strength… and new responsibilities.

He exhaled slowly.

Then he turned toward the two who had been by his side through every stage of this transformation.

"Thank you," he said simply, his voice soft but sincere. "Both of you. For everything. You stayed with me through all of it."

Zephyra gave a small smile, her posture relaxed now. "It's what masters do," she said with a playful glint in her eye. "But if you're thinking of rewards…"

She stepped closer, slowly kneeling before him. "Well," she added with a smirk, "you could show your gratitude in a more personal way."

Cypher, watching from nearby, gave a soft laugh and followed suit, settling beside Zephyra. "We've waited," she murmured, her voice quieter. "You've grown stronger… and now, so have we. If we're to serve you, truly… we should know everything about you."

Cypher and Zephyra moved closer, their hands reaching out, not just for comfort—but for him. Their touches were careful, yet sure, as if they already knew where they belonged.

Alex raised an eyebrow, a knowing smirk forming at the corner of his mouth as he leaned back slightly. "So that's how it is, huh?"

They didn't answer at first. Zephyra gently pulled at the hem of his shirt, while Cypher whispered, "We're yours… and tonight, we want you to remember that."

Their voices were soft, full of trust. Not just desire, but devotion.

Alex chuckled lowly, letting the moment stretch. "Then I won't hold back."

That day he fucked both of them until they begged him to stop and then fell asleep with satisfied smiles on their faces.

Not only that he also shared the lesser version of his Authority with them, which was Darkness manipulation.

Though it was not just simply sharing as the moment he shared it, both Demoness triggered evolution changing from Baroness to Viscount level Demon, and evolved while blissfully sleeping.

Alex quietly rose from the bedding, pulling on his clothes with practiced ease. He glanced at the two demonesses one more time, a rare softness in his expression—then turned away.

He sat down cross-legged nearby and exhaled slowly.

'System,' he called silently in his mind. 'Show me the details. I want to understand everything—traits, authorities… all of it.'

The interface shimmered into view, glowing faintly in the dim chamber.

Alex then looked at each of them as he smiled in satisfaction.
