Zhou Yuxi allowed herself a small smile. She'd taken a company, secured an empire, and somehow managed to make it look like good business rather than a hostile takeover executed at knife-point and gunpoint.
Zhou Yuxi settled into the back seat of the car, but instead of directing the driver back to the hospital as Li Feng expected, she pulled out her phone and began scrolling through Vertex Innovations' organizational charts.
"Miss Zhou?" Li Feng ventured carefully. "The hospital is....."
"Change of plans," Zhou Yuxi interrupted, her voice clipped and businesslike. "We're not going back yet. Take me through every floor of Vertex Innovations. I want to see the operations, meet the department heads, and assess the talent. A company is only as good as the people running it, and I need to know what we're working with."
Li Feng blinked in surprise but quickly adapted. "Of course. I'll notify building security that you'll be conducting inspections."
