"Man, Jenn really saved my ass there. Thank you so much"
Chin thanked me again as we were sitting around the table in the Manga Club room after school. For a change, we had everyone there at the same time today with Chin, Gina, Eri, myself, and even Miran.
"Jenn came to rescue the fat princess I guess"
Gina teased Chin.
"Hey, I was taking one for the team, you know. If I wasn't tanking their abuse someone else would have suffered"
"Chin kinda has a point… it could have been me too", Miran murmured.
"Welp, yeah, YOU definitely would not have been able to take it. So I guess Chin did prove to be useful there. For a change", Gina observed.
"Why is there so much drama at your class all the time?", Eri was distastefully amused but you could say her way of making light of the situation was also a legit way of coping with these things. We can't be mulling over the situation all day every day and everyone handled the adversities in different ways.
