Jimmy had been on the living room floor until daylight. Of course, later on he just lay down; after all, the floor wasn't especially cold, and spending a night there wasn't a problem. The only discomfort was how hard it was, and it was quite unpleasant without a pillow under his head.
For several hours, no one entered the apartment. It wasn't until morning that residents started waking up, cooking and leaving the building. Jimmy kept his Heart Eye active, scrutinizing the entire apartment complex at the slightest disturbance, keeping his mind constantly occupied.
During those hours, he kept wondering what had startled him awake. There was absolutely no reason, and he hadn't discovered anything.
