Chi Yue finally understood his purpose.
He merely wanted to prove whether or not she was Lu Xuhui's daughter.
"I can't," Chi Yue refused.
Lu Cheng showed a look of surprise. "What do you mean?"
"It's normal for my mother to have kept a photo with friends from her youth, regardless of their gender. Just based on this photo, you want me to do a paternity test with you? What would Mr. Lu think if he knew?"
"Well spoken! You're right, and I can't argue with that. But my father doesn't have many days left, and I don't want him to pass with regrets."
Chi Yue shook her head. "Doing this will only put the old gentleman in a difficult position. Instead of spending time looking for this unlikely scenario, it's better to spend more time with him."
Lu Cheng observed her, uncertain of what he was thinking.
After a long while, she said, "Please stop following me, I won't agree."
With that, she stood up and left.
