Although he'd had a bit to drink, Wu Ming was still clear-headed, and highly so.
Even though this place was a township with no political future, the operational logic and basic order of officialdom still existed within it.
At least, someone like Wu Ming, who is still young, can't be the Deputy Director of the Party and Government Office forever, right?
What if one day the mayor he serves becomes the secretary, wouldn't he then become the Director of the Party and Government Office? And then, he could become a Deputy Mayor, get a Deputy Department Level position, and move around nearby townships. If he manages to become mayor or the Chairman of the Town Congress by retirement, that's a regular department retirement position, enough to be satisfied!
He took Liu Zhizhong for a trip first to the mayor's office at the township committee building.
