Chapter 10
"So , you have met each other huh" the queen asked stealing glances between both of them
"No...umm i mean that we ummm..." Arina stammered trying to find the right excuse but her head was empty , 'damn brain.. ' she cursed mentally.
She sighed internally and said" We met once, earlier today" '....while i was BATHING'
Of course the latter part of the sentence was said only to her hearing.
Arina just sat beside the queen and tried her possible best to avoid the cruel prince's eyes and his lips which were obviously curled up into a smirk and God she wanted wipe it off with a slap. _ if only i was alone and didn't know he was royal then he'd see_. Arina thought bitterly to herself.
Soon the meal started and everyone returned to their food.
Although Arina was still a embarrassed about what jist happened, Her meagre feelings weren't enough to stop her from stuffing her face with food and Gosh, the food tasted heavenly. Arina felt like she was alone dancing in the stars with a beautiful plate of Elemental cuisine. it was so good that it took all her willpower not to moan in delight. Suddenly she felt like everyone's eyes were on her. She raised her head to meet the queen's smile and the so called prince ' Cryus ' suppressing a laughter that was threatening to blow up.
_Why are you all staring at me like I've grown a second head_ Arina asked but didn't date to speak out loud.
"Dear...." The queen started. "It's okay you must be famished that's all right"." And Cryus wipe that smile off and eat your food , how dare you disrespect my guest " she said with a serious tone.
Cryus muffled an apology, though he was probably dying to laugh ... Hmph what a. JERK.
After discussing some things and sharing a few laughs, Queen Nora finished eating and smiled at me.
"Dear, I'm full and would like to retire to my room but please be free and enjoy your meal. If you would still want more ,just beckon on the butler over there and he'll get you something to eat. Okay?" She said pointing to the butler who in turn bowed and offered a friendly smile.
Arina smiled back and nodded. The moment the queen left the dining room leaving only Arina and prince Cyrus, an akward silence fell. Arina could do nothing but try her best to finish her meal as quickly as possible....,
"So What do you think of my looks now, or are you still planning to send my 'mum's guards after me". He said smirking.
Without thinking, Arina dropped her cutlerries, abandoned her food, bowed slightly and ran....*cough* I mean left the dining room.
