There were many trees on the hill, and in one part of that hill there were two thick intertwined trees that created a beautiful shelter for all who needed it. But above all, it was a natural shelter.
Between those two large trees was a small campfire, so small that it couldn't heat the place properly. There was a 13-year-old boy, a mother, and a father, all three of whom were family.
The three had been rescued by the adept, obviously for his own purposes. But he did not expect to die so quickly. Although his goal, like that of all adepts, was to find Valery, he did not expect to die in the process. He had faith in the power he had been given and in the new opportunity to take revenge for his race. But in the end, he died, and his body was destroyed. His soul was returned to the jaws of death and would be consumed entirely.
