"Why are you here alone?" Hazel approached Eilon and sat beside him, as no one was paying attention to him, and he seemed lost.
Eilon lifted his head. He looked at Hazel with his big eyes. "Mom told me to stay here," he replied. "But I am hungry."
"Have you had lunch?" Eilon shook his head. "Breakfast?" He shook his head again.
Denzel fell from the stairs early this morning, and they found him a few hours later. There was a possibility that, in the hectic situation, Ema had forgotten to feed her son.
Hazel had a strong dislike for Ema, particularly because she constantly meddled in her affairs. However, that didn't mean she would extend those feelings to her son. After all, Eilon was Ranon's brother, and he had just lost his father.
"Come, let's go to the kitchen and see what we can eat." Hazel stood up and took his hand. Eilon followed her.
