Third person POV
Following Helena's plan, Liam went to where Amelia began working, taking care of the kids. Since his departure, things had settled in a way better, and she was very happy with her new job.
At that moment, Amelia sat cross-legged on the rug, surrounded by little ones who had stubbornly refused to nap after the chaos of the day. Instead, she had surrendered to their wide eyes and restless energy, gathering them around her in a makeshift circle.
With her sleeves rolled up and her hair slightly undone from fatigue, she held up her hands and whispered a few soft words.
Then, one boy tripped and almost burst into tears, but Amelia was there in a second, pulling him gently into her lap. "Shh, it's okay. You're braver than you think," she whispered, smoothing his hair with a smile that seemed to melt his fears away.
It was exhausting working with kids, but she had a happy smile all along doing what she loved.
The door creaked open.
