Chapter 43 - Wednesday – Fifth Round: Equilibrium

[25.11.2025 Fifth part of five]

Some of the girls were terrified at the thought of losing Kamijou, but it was 'Deep Blood' who made a move. Himegami Aisa, the EMO girl who are a perfect fit for Miko uniform [Shinto priest], without a moment's hesitation, stood between Kamijou and the visitor. "Hold, where you are! Do not dare to make, another step! I'm warning you!"

With her sudden arrival, she jostled Kamijou, who lost his balance again and fell back onto his butt. It almost looked that his previous opponent was hitting a pressure points on his body, actually disabling him like a master of acupuncture.

Except that the man, looking at the determined Emo girl, raised one eyebrow in surprise. "Let's see. Another person I can't really see. Do you also, have something special, that will surprise me? Just so you know, I'm pretty resilient and what happened before was due that boy unique trait. I also understand, that you're not a fighter. But you still can't hide all the blood that's stuck to you over the years. On other hand; I'm not someone who would take back its decisions, just because a heroine made a sad face. Yet, I can understand your determination. So I give you one chance. If you think you have something that can stop me..." He got serious, making a gesture of challenge. "Then come on!"

.

The long-black-haired girl swallowed on empty and hesitated for a moment. But in the end, she reached for her neck. It was unusual that she actually decided, to take off the silver-cross pendant that was blocking her abilities. Her opponent, unnerved by the gesture, watched her in silence, wondering what she was doing. As she take it off from her neck to her palm, she hesitated again. But still, she had this expression of not backing off as she stretched out the hand in which she held the pendant, toward him. After a theatrical second of waiting, she release her hand, dropping the pendant.

We shall mentioned, that from certain point of view; Himegami is like a flytrap for vampires and she decided that this person was a vampire. A strong one to the point, that she cant just be selfish with her desire to not hurt others with her powers. This pendant was such a strong ceremonial item, that it truly block her Esper-Gem abilities that were an integral part of Himegami. But because it blocking a part of her, cloak her presence, it having a curious side effect, where others simply ignore her presence. And she think the other people are simply rude to her.

Kamijou called out to her: "Himegami, don't do that!" He, tried to reach out to her with his outstretched right hand. But he couldn't reach her in time to negate her still-active 'Deep-Blood' ability. Maybe he though that if he dint do it, this Warden will burst out, like rubber balloon filled by water when it hit something sharp enough.

.

Someone could say, that time slowed down at that moment.

The Visitor watched the pendant with interest as it slowly falling to the ground, wondering what will happen, what skill or art will be used on him.

Since the girl was no longer under the influence of the pendant, the challenger's eyes widened as he suddenly saw and realized something. He looked at Himegami in shock.

His expression suggested, that something seriously problematic and dangerous was in front of him... dangerous for him...

His reaction was as quick as a cat reflex, where you only had to blink once and you would miss what happened. But for the first time in his visit to this city, he did something perhaps unthinkable for him and reflexively jumped back in a clearly defensive gesture.

At that same moment, he clapped his palms together, activating his (inner powers?). Still in jump, he make a hand gesture, where he reached with his palm for the remnants of blood on the other arm, which had previously bled from a bite wound before it was mysteriously healed. With one swift stroke, he spread the remnants of that blood across both palms, as if it were symbolic battle paint or something more mysterious, like a blood bond contract.

As soon as he landed, he went into a squat. Finally, he turned those blood marked palms to the floor in front of him and slapped them on the ground.

What spurted from his palms onto the floor like a snakes, was something like black ink writing, [text chanting], which formed some kind of circular or mathematical pattern. All these preparations led to the point when something powerful was activated. Like a spell or summoning technique.

Immediately after that, the ground in front of him (exploded?) high. With the thunder of stones, something mystical filled the space between him and the girl.

Only now did the cross pendant finish its fall, disabling the feeling of slow motion, while clinking loudly on the ground, bouncing once and disappearing into a cloud of ground dust.

.

Himegami herself stood there in shock. She couldn't believe her eyes, but she stared into the dead end,... From her perspective, it looked as if a wall had appeared out of nowhere, between her and him.

Except that it only took a blink or two and she realized that it was not an emergency fire wall shutter with clearly industrial efficiency design. No, she was looking at a richly decorated large (iron gate?) as if it belonged to old era of feudal castles, guarded by swordsman's and archers up on tall walls. This gate, inserted into a sturdy frame, had a few quite old looking stone stairs at bottom and a tiled roof canopy of old style fired clay tiles. On side it had a duo of massive stone like pillars into which statues of mystical guardian creatures were carved, one for each of the pillars. Hanging from the roof frame on its sides, there were a duo of enormous cowbells supported on fat chains, which would ring when the gate decided to open. Or when something very powerful hit the gate. Plus the paper lamps give the construction a mystical lighting. The phenomenon itself perfectly filled the space from left to right and top to bottom.

Exactly the kind of gate you would find in fantasy stories, who separating worlds from each other, or representing the entrance to a mystical city. It could be found as a reference in digital games; when you finally make your way through the labyrinth of dangerous dungeon, and you stand in front of the gate to the local lord's residence, on the lowest floor. In this case, one would say that the door to the 'Boss-room' has just appeared, behind which the toughest fight of hero journey will come. However, only those who prove themselves worthy, can enter. Then, the long-black-haired who often worn her Miko outfit, that fantastic idyll with the Shinto priestess, standing in front of the gate leading into another world from which a mystical aura emanates as if she were alive, would be complete.

Almost the entire group present at the meeting area stared with undisguised surprise at the unprecedented phenomenon.

Kamijou stopped trying to reach for Himegami and instead stood up with great difficulty as the effect of pressure points slowly faded away. He looked at the gate and decided to take a step towards it.

.

He had barely taken two steps when Index urgently called out to him in fear, that he do something stupid: "Touma, stop!! No matter the circumstances, you cannot touch that gate!! What stands before us is a gate made from donated bones of the mighty... This is no replica, but a true original. And a monument that was summoned directly from where it belongs, to protect what matter. The first of three, set in the perhaps indestructible walls around that mythical place. This time, you must not intervene, because we cannot afford to damage this thing! What's more, its destruction would cost the human race too dearly. Humanity would then have to bear heavy responsibilities for their audacity when they decided to break through that gate. And I don't think, they will listen to honest apology."

Seeing that her roommate stand down, Nun give that gate a sticker look. "Now it's clear to me, what trick the dignitary from earlier, was trying to pull on us. I can quite imagine that the main intention of those warriors from that flying castle-Fort, was to provoke a conflict: between this city and that Palace. So that the Palace would send a golden army here, or monsters of trials, to test whether it is humanity worthy of mercy. But surely the dreadful plan did not received sufficient support from all Fort warriors, so they proceeded with the meteor bombardment." Her voice cooled as she reached the last sentence. "However, as you can see, the Palace is still involved, having sent an investigator who is the first examiner."

Mikoto was confused, so she address the librarian. "What Palace you talking about? The one in Tokyo? The government residence of the Emperor of Japan? So this city is more like self government region, and lees like country on its own? Make sense, when on other side of coin, its quite weird to take away a third of area next to your Capital city, to someone else without any strings attached to it. So this is really a bureaucracy attempt?; to spend a lot in pretense of pretending that they have the superiority here, faking they overpowered champion, to calm not just public, but esper community too, especially the fives?"

But Index was not been in mood to make a side explanations as she cut that talk short. "Short haired, you overthinking this, with your personal opinions. Pipe down and wait!"

.

.

Suddenly, the carved guardian statues on the gate pillars came to life, awaking from sleep, and looked into the alley. Or rather, they looked at the pair standing in front of the gate. One of the mysterious beings was in a pale version [White] with a questioning expression. While the other was in a dark version [Black] with a dissatisfied expression. This pair spoke in thunderous slow voices.

At one side of coin, White was curious: "Do you see that?"

But Black was obviously sarcastic. "He made a mistake!"

.

"The mortal, is weak?"

"We are not needed here!"

.

"Shall we go back?"

"He must face ridicule!"

The statues averted their gazes, returning to the form they had before, falling in sleep. Immediately after that, there was trembling of stone. The gate sink into the ground with a thunderous crash; falling under the surface, returning back from where it rise. A careful eye would not have missed how the torn floor and walls, by a supernatural phenomenon, repaired themselves to their previous form, as if the damage had never been there. The only thing left after the gate was the uneasy silence and the agitated wisps-clouds of dust and dirt.

.

.

A change occurred when the Visitor decided to walk back to them. He interrupted this silence, whit an almost lifeless round of congratulatory hand-clapping applause. It was a rather forced clapping, filed by feeling of mocking or rather disapproval. Through the settling dust, the aforementioned challenger walked towards the young couple. Yet his body language tells, that there was not a single hint of worry or combat readiness. Although he stopped clapping when he appeared before Himegami, his expression showed embarrassment, or rather, burnout, at having been tricked. "That's unbelievable. You got me with this one..." He bent down, to pick up her silver cross on the chain, and returned it to its place, by hung it around her neck.

But the girl was as still as a statue. Did she was glad, that no one got hurt? Or terrified, that she failed to use the only effective weapon she had?

.

The Visitor took a half step back to examine the girl once more. "Do you still having a panic attack? Even if you win this prank game?" He make a defeated sigh. "How can I say this to you?… I can confirm, that you are indeed an exceptional species, a rare kind. Truly, a (Rare Kind Power), a prove of some kind existence. But... ironically... Not with regard, to something like me. You,-- One shooting down,-- me. What a ridiculous image." He shortly laughed ironically to himself. "We both made a grave mistake. But on the other hand, it is good for both of us, that you are not suchBishop. [Chess-piece], who will be unreasonable."

As she silently stared at him in surprise, he looked sympathetic, changing the vibe into a friendly one. "It's clear to me, that you don't love the rare blood that flows in your veins. Plus, you didn't wanted the blood stains, that stuck to you. I can imagine why. Actually, it's blatant, yet I have personal experience with something similar. Additionally, it's clear, that you were ready to use that cursed card to protect him. Ready to face what comes next, you decided to loosen the leach that kept your demons at bay. How romantic..." He make a weak gesture of approval toward her. "You have my respect for hesitating to use that card. It is me who is on blame, as the one who really did make you to do it."

Then he sighed deeply. "It's a bit embarrassing, but my own knowledge tricked me, when I mistake what you are and panicked. No, I just don't wanted to lose the game. That mistake of me, forced me to go fully on the defensive. First time after a long time. On top of that, I carelessly used a card that even your atomic weapons would be too short for. Seriously, what is with this city?; where random passerby girls and boys, holds such a game breaking powers? No wonder that old generation fear the uprising/rising next generation."

He turned his gaze to the ceiling for a moment before sighing. "Who would have expected such an unexpected turn in a tournament game?" Slowly returning to his attitude towards the matter; he waved his hands lukewarmly to the sides, shaking his head in a dismissive gesture: (Nothing can be done about it.) "It's hard for me to admit it, but because of this mistake of mine..." He paused for a moment to think about what he was actually saying. "No, I was acting as a tutor to a student and I must admit, that I lost my own tournament. Not a tournament in the correct way, as someone take it for show off. Even though I didn't take it that way, this is a fact that I have to face."He stretch its neck by making a full circle by its head, as if fixing his hair, pushing that ponytail behind his back; "Dang!; its hard to admit defeat, when I was so set to Ace this, for sake of all."

Returning his attention to the girl, he make a strong stand. "I should also reward you for your victory; regardless of how you achieved it..."

Before he could finish speaking, she thrust one hand out to the side in a clear gesture that served as a mental protective barrier between him and Kamijou, protecting the lad from the man.

.

The visitor himself smiled, putting his hands in pockets on his sport pants. "I was going to tell you, that I will help you to control your blood, so that you can get the damn card under control and not have to wear such a strong pendant. Especially since that barrier on your neck has certain negatives. However, that determination in your eyes puts me in a difficult situation."

He pointed to the young man with a gesture of moving his head. "Do you understand?; that as long as he stays here, the challenges will not stop coming? Because of what he his? His current,-- (disposition?), is particularly problematic. I can already heard that smart talks and giggles, because the two of you."

However, he suddenly pulled his hands out of his pockets and lightly scratched his head with one of them, as he began to get a little nervous. That is, until the moment when he figuratively threw his problems behind his head. "Well, not my problem at this stage. Luckily for me, he's not the main reason I'm here. I'd rather call him a surprise. A reference to an old acquaintance. A joker card mixed in among the playing card deck. A Pawn for a chess game in which the King had no interest in forming a team for participating in the tournament. As if it was not his real team, but a decoy, that he treats them at best; fun to mess with them."

Sighing again, he glanced at Accelerator and Last-Order, who were sharing a chair. "As the saying go; (A coin has two sides.) So you could say, it's a good thing he doesn't even reach out to touch the leach that hold his demons, inside of that cracked, indestructible Tower [Rock -Chess piece] at bay. Not that his Garde [escort/ chess move] would allow it at all. The potential he hold is a scary one."

The rest of level-five's dint particularity seem to have any intention to join whatever was going around.

Then he looked at the nun in white. "This librarian Bishop does her best to keep her own demons at bay, but at the same time, she can't help but constantly try to break into my vault of forbidden secrets and knowledge. Who is here the Inquisitor to who? Inquisition went too far by making you." [Inquisitor; strict investigator. Inquisition; a medieval church court established to suppress the spread of heresies.]

.

But the platinum white haired girl was still staring at him bewitchingly. "You do realize the main issue in this moment? That those who so spectacularly attacked the city this weekend, were trying to seduce you, into sending down heavenly punishment on a target of their own choosing. Right?"

At that, the visitor chuckled briefly. "Ha, ha. It's not the first time someone has tried to trick me into doing something like this. You can probably understand, the feeling of embarrassment, when you realize you've punished the wrong target. Yet I found funny, that some people spend so much effort in explaining why they are mad at someone, while others just give up to even try to explain. Like, when someone changed the entire-world order, and don't know about it." A tension showed on his body language. "And who said the smite dint occurred?" [strike with a firm blow]

For a short moment the listeners was taken aback by the question, yet he continue to speak. "I could act, like completely overpowering disaster, from the moment I first set foot on this estate. Forcing my way through everything and everybody. But I'd risk that some people will lose they mind, if I didn't respect the local population's low awareness of the seven books of laws, that shape the world and this universe. Facing an unknown threat, that can't be stopped, would likely result in drastic attempts at solutions. Solutions, whose darkness surpasses atomic weapons." He raised a warning finger. "Whoever, someone specific has turned this estate into an asylum with a school environment that can explode unpleasantly into a face; as a result of unwanted consequences. To prevent that from happening, I launched a proper investigation. Although, at first glance, one can very quickly find a sufficiently serious reason, to blow up this city, off the world map. But on the other hand, one can trace its back story all way back to the fact; that the original idea is based on tragic love."

.

He almost forcefully ignored the menacing stares from all sides, as if someone was trying to burn a hole in him with their gaze. "But seriously: I'm just directly addressing a very controversial fact that affects all of you. Actually, I dint like, that certain person, is using that Archetype Controller [Genkei Seigyo] on the entire city, effecting everybody to be more competitive that they should, my including. Plus is not directly an evil thing, because this is area of training, that preparing the future generation for they place in this world. I'm trying to get this person out of his bed for a face-to-face wee-chat meeting. Except this person refuses to come out of his hole, which locations is in plain sight. Since this person doesn't directly respond to my request for an audience, because I dint clear all bases, I have to come up with another way to become important enough for us to talk."

Only now did he look around at the others, spread across the area, before returning his gaze to the black-haired couple from before. "In addition, there are those crazy scientists who really overdo it with their love to science and their outrageous pride. Too smart people simply tend to push or cross moral boundaries. But what they came up with, simply goes beyond exotic answers to school questions, sinful audacity, or according to some, a heretical taboos. If I admit that lots of peoplewent nuts for all kind of reasons; so does the skeptic city council of yours have a lot of alibis, that prevents me from kicking out a few doors. Then to get at last some kind of a result that actually matter, I muss address a certain list of the most important figures from this city. A list of characters, from which a representative team for the tournament would be assembled, when the time will come. In other words, a substitute for war, when in order to prevent a mass tragedy, ordinary armies cease to be relevant."

He chuckled to himself again, half-desperately, half-annoyed. "He… But, if I were to prove, that I am an invincible champion; not only against the famous names of the big seven, but also against more exotic figures; then if he ignored me even then, I would have enough reason to do some minor demolition work on the facade of your city's icon. You can certainly imagine how problematic the fact is, that he not actually built any team, but the team exists as it self construct itself. He did not actually making contract with any of the figures, yet he do like to pull a background strings. At the same time, he continues to insist that no other party, will take for themselves what is roaming his estate. The only thing, that the white wizard from the black tower does, is consult and determine the direction in which individual destinies should take. He deserve a serious slapping in the face for his Archetype Controller. Seriously, I think I will take a stroll through the city and give certain monolithic monument a few kicks."

.

The accelerator clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction, looking away from the speaker. "Tcs! A building without windows."

At that moment, all the other Level-5s had dark expressions as the name of the only known resident of this high-rise and iconic landmark of the city came to mind: (Aleister Crowley, the chairman of Board of Director.)

Kamijou even clenched his right hand into a fist.

It didn't take long before the silence was broken by the local intercom-radio. Or rather, a few notes of the melody as an introductory jingle-sound, signaling the upcoming announcement. Except that this was practically purposefully focused only on the alley, or more precisely on the seating area with tables where Mikoto and the others were sitting. A voice came from above, as if over a telephone. The quality of which must have gone down, since the intercom was cracking as if someone had wirelessly hacked it. Mikoto didn't recognize the voice from the ceiling, but looking at the expressions of some of the people sitting there, she quickly realized that it belonged to only one person.

.

Lord of the Academic City, spoke in his neutral EMO voice: "To set the facts straight: I find phones fascinating. Do nobody really bother to explain to you, that your Grand teacher approach, having a serious shortcomings? Like skipping an explanation lines and prescriptionsteps? For that, its hard for me, to call you for advice's and consultations. Since your reputation precedes you; I felt that the time had simply not come for us to have a home-invitation, before you had at least partially become acquainted with the city itself and its inhabitants. My staying away is a form countermeasure to prevent an unnecessary violence. I know from what background you came. They have a custom of having a dedicated person, who sole job is to; mercilessly beating the day out, from anybody who is responsible for the incident. Especially when its always some, elder or newcomer, who got sentimental and caused something innocent at first that grown into a major nuisance. They all having one thing common, a massive collateral damage, caused by 'Bullet hell' practice. A spectacle firework performance, that taking aiming as optional."

The visitor quickly found the security camera that was recording the place and turned to look at it. "And indeed, a beautiful flowering of creativity, both young and old, was to be seen while exploring the local sights. Does this mean that you will remain faithful to your isolation from the world, like someone who has decided to never leave that cozy room of yours again?"

.

"That's one of my character traits, as a declaration that I have no interest in competing for power anywhere. But to keep the conversation from going stale, should I be worried about retaliatory strikes against this city, such as more meteors?"

Visitor expression get serious. "A beautiful maneuver. Wars between factions are local matters, it useless to fight against order of nature. But playing god with toys of astronomical proportions like a meteor strike that can destroy large islands;-- I have forbidden that moves, for obvious reasons. Such contempt, of what few rules there are, will not be tolerated. Its not a war, not a fighting, its just pure hatred and nuisance." He make and hand gesture as if making a point. "I am currently visiting all parties involved, to enforce real accountability, for those truly concerned. In my view, no immunity makes anyone unreachable and no rat will hide in the sewers. Although it may seem old-fashioned, I would like to evaluate each person involved, face to face, directly; that if they continue to commit atrocities that would endanger the planet itself, I will be the one to knock on their door commanding a force so great that they will not be able to escape."

.

Although it sounded like a direct threat, the voice from the ceiling did not change and showed no sign of anything at all. "I would like to remind you, that when it comes to the school environment; in order to achieve high-quality preparation of the students entrusted to us for their future profession and the like; there is a need to establish some kind of general pressure that would force them to improve. To be nice, in time when is needed to be rough, will only hurt student's development."

There was a clear contrast how the man in black T-shirt approached to this Lord of city figure, there was no carefree aspect as it was while dealing with the students. "Your approach to the day and night sides of the city would be considered by few to be an adequate answer to a question without a moral answer. As for your personal travels beyond the borders that are not advisable to cross; it could eventually happen, that I will deliberately demolish your crystal citadel, which pretends to be the 'Tower of Babel'. [(Fake) Stairs to heaven] And who has ever heard of a city that has two? Just because something is supposedly impregnable on paper, doesn't mean I can't knock it down."

.

Aleister was still unchanged. "If you know the source of my endeavor, I would like to inform you, that I have no problem changing direction as long as it means I am still moving towards my goal, who can change to. Yet, the idea of thinking, (That saving the world and fixing it), are opposite sides of same coin; is a shortcoming. It require a third idea of (Evolve the world) to be revealed as it always been there. Because its not the strongest species that will persist, but those who are most adaptable to change will."

Mikoto imagined a surreal scene with a windowless building falling, flipping to side, as if it were a huge tree that had been uprooted. Except that she knew that this high-rise building was also known for its ability to withstand all known external influences. It was even said that it could withstand a direct hit from an atomic bomb. So the brunette imagined this skyscraper falling on the city and for the building to stop falling, to prevent be destroyed; it transferred all of its kinetic energy from itself to the ground it shall hit. A powerful and high pressure wave arose, bringing with it a tsunami of rubble. This fifty meters tall wave, will swept through the entire city, from the center to its massive circular walls around its perimeter. When the dust cloud settled, the city was nothing more than a large sandbox with a single, discarded stick named Windowless Building…

Railgun shook the thought out of her head and was already on her feet. "Wait a minute!!" She jump off the chair, gallop to the black-haired trio and demanded their attention. "Hey!! Didn't you say, you were investigating those meteorites? So the people who caused this incident, should have been banished from the city! They actually flew their planes over the ocean. It was even in the news. There's no justification for someone to go so far as to punish an entire city for the actions of one person. Who do you think you are?; to threaten such great injustice? Especially when it's clear, that your target lies elsewhere?"

While Kamijou flinched at the brunette's arrival and took a step to the side from her, Himegami glared at the tsundere with her Emo gaze.

However, the visitor gave Misaka a somewhat lukewarm reaction. "Oh yes, you… Heroine of this story. [Heroine – (lady?/person) in trouble who needs a hero; a person capable to produce a change.] As I said before: I am currently visiting all the parties involved to enforce real accountability for those truly involved. I assume you are familiar with the concept of being in multiple places at once. Of course you are. But if you must know, there are places where my investigation is not going as smoothly as it unwrapping here. Elsewhere that here, my legit wee-chat, is met with stubborn resistance. But in other places, I am already done. Actually, I am done here too, having already demonstrated my strength, said my piece to the daredevil and said a few words of experience to children who had no idea. However, speaking of my active visits, there are places where things are not going smoothly at all. I am referring specifically to a certain person who, as if due to the retardation of the whole world, has to proudly resist so much; that I have to compare that nuisance, to the demon lord. How annoying."

.

To make matters worse, the previously unnoticed sister of Mikoto, Inoue, joined the group. She stood next to her older sister, and bowed respectfully to the Visitor.

The man smiled at her with a visible hint of desperate sympathy. "I see you love your sister very much. An open book has its own charm, but only when read by someone who is worthy of it. On the other hand, the term one-man army doesn't even begin with me. In fact, many have tried to apply this term in different ways and achieved different applications. From my point of view, it's not bad what you are and the like."

Unlike the older brunette, the younger one seemed to understand what he was talking about, and his words directly touched her until a (natural smile?) appeared on her face.

Index too joined the group, but unlike the others, she looked displeased. "Touma, do you remember what I forbade you to do?; at the beginning of this nonsense with regard to the short-haired one?" She instantly get attention of the entire group, but stared directly at Kamijou face. "So do it now!"

.

With that, all eyes turned to Kamijou. With a determined look, he reached out with his right hand to Mikoto and she jumped with a (What going on?) expression, immediately blushing. Except at that moment, when he touched her, she too heard something to shatter somewhere. As the lad turned his gaze to the man, she too followed him and opened her eyes wide in surprise.

Namely, the visitor began to dissolve, yet there was no sing of emergency or panic as he smiled softly. His body, step by step, turned into tiny particles of dust that were carried away by an imaginary breeze. It was almost as if the imaginary anchor that kept him on the imaginary bottom of the ocean, which was the surface of this planet, had been lost. It literally looked as if his own spirit was about to float to an imaginary surface located high, beyond the sky, when the imaginary buoyancy itself was supposed to carry him up to orbit. Or rather, we should say that someone was about to ascend to a higher sphere, fly away to heaven, and shed his earthly body.

.

Misaka, tilted her head to the side in confusion, as several pieces of puzzle click on its place. But she suddenly realized, that she had too many unanswered questions on hearth, so she called out to him: "Hey!! I still don't even know who you are?! And why are they blaming me for this incident."

The ascending man thought for a second. "Oh, so its actually true, that you fall off the loop. Well I tried to get into the explanation, but we had so many interruptions, distractions and side tracking. Its not that you are blamed for something, specifically. Its that changing you destiny to such extend created such big waves, that it make people curious, even drawing a target on your back."

.

Mikoto quickly recalled her own attempt to change a destiny for ten thousand of her sisters by following the prediction of 'Tree diagram'. [supercomputer] Then in gamble cheated so heavily, that will make the prediction inaccurate, forcing the scientist to questioning everything.

Yet there was no time for reminiscing as she must focused on what he was telling. "It shall be a common to expected, that If I had come here in my full strength, all I would have to do was stomp carelessly and the city would be gone. To prevent that, it's a well-established rule to choose a suitable host for incarnation who will act as Investigator. Quite unexpectedly, a perfect choice pulled the hammer on me. So I sought out a suitable candidate, to act as model, from which to create an Avatar suitable for the given location. Although in your case, there was an important ploy reason of why, I changed that choice halfway through the process, skipping to someone else and working my way up to an interesting creation. Although, some might call it coincidence, luck, or audacity, that you're to blame for the waves." Realizing how far its falling-apart progress, he tried to speed up by uttering his last words. "My name is..." It seemed that the disintegration had reached a point where the voice cords in his neck fall apart, and he couldn't even pronounce the name. But... an observant eye wouldn't have missed that he deliberately fell silent at that dramatic moment, even though he still had a second or two to spare. He even smiled when someone realized that he didn't mean to say his name. Then the dissolving process speed up, turning him into a cloud of fine dust, that was taken away by breeze.

.

Specifically, it was a certain Brown-haired girl who stomped her feet firmly on the ground. "Hey!! What is this lifeless climax supposed to mean?!! I'm supposed to take it as a fact?!!; that the cornerstone of this incident lies in; that I won't learn anything, that would satisfy me?!!"

However, it was Inoue who forced herself into big sister's attention. "Onee-sama, it's common knowledge, that a good book story leaves behind some kind of mystery. For example, the outrageous number of unanswered questions arising from episodic comments. And yet, from a certain perspective, Onee-sama is the main hero character # [hashtag] the heroine. Misaka indirectly alludes to this fact, like some experienced critic from some underground site for Tokiwadai story board." Of course, she earned a (What the hell are you talking about?) look from her older sister.

However, before she could decipher it, Aleister's voice from the ceiling made the eager brunette slightly sour. "As an active writer with many titles published, I can confirm that when it's done right, the unexplained pieces of the puzzle leading to the main mystery, the missing link, elevates the work to a deeper level of interest. What may seem like a dull and sloppy climax from one perspective, may in fact be an invitation to continue. Then it is the struggle itself, that is a cornerstone of a student development. However, with all this, I have to ask you: Have you not been purposefully ignoring the most important character? The one you're asking to be interviewed for some time now? Yet not actually done that?"

.

With a menacing look on her face, Mikoto turns to Himegami, but she actually wanted to turn to Kamijou.

… … … Except he wasn't there anymore.

.

Horrified, she realized this fact and hurriedly looked back into the alley to shout her own words after Kamijou, as he was fleeing the scene in panic: " Hey!! … … No way!! Not this time!! Stop it immediately!!" She, kick the ground starting the dash, to ran after him with vigor, giving chase without any plan. It was just by chance that it was somewhat reminiscent of the ordeal when the two first met.

She completely forgot about everyone at that gathering. Even Kuroko, who, despite her mouth covered and trapped in Kukoo's arms, desperately called out: ("Sissy~~y!!)

Meanwhile, the remaining three girls [Himegami, Index, Inoue] had blank stares glaring after the disheveled hero, like a misunderstood young man running away from a hot, violent tsundere.

As for the table hosting the fifth level, they eventually started to disperse, each going their own way. Yet there was a quite misunderstanding with handling the lollies. Like holding them under armpit like a little sheep, instead of letting them go. Most visible that was on Junko-Shokuhou duo, when the honey blonde had disapproval expression.

As for #2- Kakine, tied to a pillar with a golden chain, he had to do something to guard his sassy tongue in front ofthe tiny white-haired girl, who seemed to be hesitating whether to be satisfied with the chain only, or take the entire pillar. But finally she freed the lad, by undoing the knot and taking away that heavy chain. Then he and the hostess gill who help him to stand up, watched in surprise as Fräulein Kreutune take one end of the golden treat into her mouth. Then taking one strong slurp, she pull in the chain, sucking it inside in one breath, like a long spaghetti. She again gave her rating of the taste in stars like those given to restaurants or hotels, like some connoisseur. But this time she directly reported that she had enjoyed they feelings.

.

.

As everyone was leaving the dinning area, so with regard to this story; we must turn our attention to one of the tables of this gathering. There is still a certain boy and a certain girl sitting at it. [Lad and Miss] This couple have been, so to speak, observers of this story since the very beginning on Friday, but no one paid them any attention. We could say, that like some kind of film jurors, they always appeared at every exceptional scene, as if they were sitting in the front row of the cinema.

The Lad didn't look stupid, but rather bored, as if he had just watched a movie that didn't suit his taste. "Okay, so this story has a happy ending. But I have to ask: Was there a point to this trip?; that I'm somehow still missing to grasp? A route not taken?"

The girl on the other hand didn't have a condescending tone, but rather a tone that seemed to belong to people of a higher caste and a habit of speaking on a certain noble level. Like a goddess to mortal. "You're really don't learn, do youhuman? Do you really need an explanation for everything? Or just you love to hear me to speak?"

.

"From my perspective, it seems like you wanted people, to just be guided by your omnipotence, but you were too influential for that. So you gave up after a while."

"Oh! You foolish human! You should know better than to think, that people tend to rely too much on those with great power. They rely on the fact that when they get lucky, these individuals, will solve all their problems with a wave gesture of their hand. After a while, it becomes an excuse for everything they do, good or bad. Remember the story aboutJinn from lamp and where it ended up!"

.

"Hmm? So you're willingly showing me one of your biggest failures that went to hell and you're worried, that maybe if you did a little better here and there, you wouldn't have to feel so guilty. But from what I can see here, it seems like you have it under control."

"What you are looking at, is a house of cards. It will eventually fall down. No matter how many times you rebuild it, it is destined to fall down every time, and you will not change that."

.

"If it never fell down, there would be nothing left for those who are yet to come. But to the main question; have you tried using glue at least once?"

"Are you kidding me? Or do you not even understand comparisons, reduced to a human level?"

.

"I think you've forgotten over the years, where the true strength of every person lies in. If we achieve something with our own strength, it's all the more valuable to us. Don't you dare underestimate the positive effects of insignificant successes. Step by step, they will be worth a handful. Its only an end, when we stop trying. How to say it?… It 's never too late to awaken your adventurous soul."

"So all I've accomplished with this, is; that you've learned a little about how to use comparisons properly. You treat me as if I am a senile person who supposedly forgotten that he too was once young." She sighed tiredly. "Human, this lesson is over. It's time to turn the page! The next stage awaits you."

The boy and girl got up from the table and started walking away, finally disappearing from sight.

[Notes, explanatory notes]

-Deep-Blood – Himegami's ability makes her a flytrap for vampires. Her original role in AC was to attract this species to help save the Index. But that project was abandoned, although the intention to attract the vampire eventually worked out, but there was no interest in him anymore. The vampire himself probably doesn't even know about Himegami, as it pursue a different plan.

-Garde: 1;Guard/servant (woman), escorting ladies into event/party: Mini Misaka. 2;a situation in chess when a queen is threatened. 3;point of view when assessing something, angle of view: it is still the same today, only in the opposite garde. 4;Garderobier: someone who is in charge of theatrical costumes. (She having a (in?)direct impact on His role. Like when she turned off his ability speak properly.)

-Building without Windows, mysteriously to enter the building you need a key which is a teleporter that was already in the building and know where to jump. Don't forget that the object itself is not a regular building and it is quite possible that the internal layout has been magically altered to the point that teleportation is one of the few options that will overcome the imaginary impossible and transport the visitor to the correct room when the teleporters have a path/map of one step/jump in their memory rather than coordination.

-The Tower of Babel is a story from the Book of Genesis that explains the origin of different languages. According to the narrative, a unified people, speaking a single language, attempted to build a tower to reach the heavens to make a name for themselves. God intervened by confusing their languages, causing them to scatter across the earth and abandon the project.

-If we look at it from a certain point of view, here we have seven books of laws that shape the universe, that is, bend it and adjust it into the observed form. If book #1 is all about physics, chemistry, biology, all not-un-natural phenomenons and so on, then book #7 is everything that belongs to civilization as society or sociology. (Don't ask; civilization itself has an impact on the observed universe.) If #2 is magic and its sub-types, then #3 could be tied to personality, a manifestation of spirit/soul or simply as a personal assumption, i.e. talent, (espers). From #4 to #6 it is more exotic and does not concern most performers. The Visitor, the Warden, the overseer, operate with all seven books, and this gives him an immense range of maneuvering to use. But don't be fooled, using more that one book, produce an immense stress, that will eventually bite back.

-Bullet hell, or danmaku, is a subgenre of action video games (shoot 'em up) where the main challenge is to dodge a massive amount of projectiles fired by enemies. These games are characterized by a screen cluttered with complex shooting patterns and often smaller collision boxes than the player sprite itself, allowing for precise maneuvering. Popular examples include series such as Touhou Project and DonPachi.

-Kuuko … Have you ever thought that in the entire series, Kuroko is actually the only one with demonically flaming hair like tentacles? Or that she can ignite with dark energy? That she specifically uses drills as her weapon to subdue troublemakers? That she is attracted to Misaka as a worshiper of a god. That she has specific tastes, and erotic appetites? And her family owns a restaurant and her family (designed?) or has something to do with the design of the Uniform for Tokiwadai? It is quite possible that Kukoo and Mahiro from (Haiyore! Nyaruko-san) are more than a remarkable coincidence that could have given rise to Kuroko herself. Then Accelerator could have been from Nyaruko and Index from Hasuto. Thus Ace, Index, Kuroko could be related. (But that is just a theory.)

-I shall apologize, for this chapter, at first the file had only a 16 thousand words, but now it reached 30k. That one thing, but I was plagued with delays for quite long. So I decided to divide it into parts, so I can keep walking forward. But the feeling that something is not right was biting around like mice will bite on a wooden frame of crate, where the good stuff is hidden.
