We reached the Dukedom where maids and guards of the estate were waiting outside to greet us and leading the guards was Jake while leading the maids was Emma, after the carriage stopped me and Rose got out then the guards bowed while the maids did a curtsy and said "welcome back your grace and my lady" we both gave them a nod then I asked Emma "where are mother and sister?" Emma said "they are waiting for you In Madam's office" hearing that we went to mother's office ...I knocked on the door from Inside I heard "come In" so me and Rose went In, mother was sitting on her chair with glasses signing documents while Annie was leaning against the table with one hand on her sword waiting for us then I bowed while Rose did a curtsy and said "we are back mother/mother-In-law" then mother said "welcome back how was your Journey?" I said "It was...good" then mother removed her glasses and said "so.....how did the deal go?" I swallowed my saliva and told her everything with nervousness...after hearing everything that happened mother sighed trying to process then suddenly Annie came forward with a fist and punched me In the face making me fall back on the ground then Annie shouted "you bastard not only did you sell our Dukedom but you sold our Dukedom's women too ...when they say women do you understand that even mother Is counted" I Just looked down and said "I know" then Annie raised her fist In the air and shouted "and now I have to go and serve those fucking bastards In the royal palace" I shouted back "I know ....I am sorry but they won't negotiate about this conditions so what do you want me to do come back home without a deal?" Annie stopped and couldn't say anything back then mother said "stop....I knew they will put forward unreasonable demands but not to this extent" Rose helped me get up then I said "sister I know this Is going to be hard and humiliating but for the sake of the Dukedom we have to do this untill we get stronger" mother sighed and said "John Is right we have to hid our strength and bide our time" Annie stood there with a fist trembling with anger well It must be really hard for her to accpet this since she Is a prideful women then Annie said ".....ok"
As we were discussing the door opened and Jake entered the room everyone was confused mother glared at him and said "Jake we are having a family meeting now how dare you enter my office without permission" I looked at him and said "I know why he Is here" everyone looked at me curiously while Jake Just smiled, during the dance at the ball I wondered where Isabelle's source came from but as I was leaving the royal palace Isabelle said wait and told me something I couldn't believe that Jake was the one who gave her that Information and he works for her now so I asked "Jake why did you betray the Dukedom?" he put his hand on his beard and said "well your grace...money Is Important In life" Annie asked me "John what's going on?" then Jake said "don't worry my lady let me explain to you ....I work for her majesty now and going forward I will pass orders from the royal and Snow family" after hearing that Annie put her hand on her sword and said "you dirty traitor" but I stopped her then I asked Jake "the only people who know about the deal between me and my wife Is mother and Emma...so Is Emma with you In this?"
