Minghao hurried across the parking lot, weaving between slower-moving groups of students. As she got closer, she could see Twilight in the driver's seat, looking simultaneously proud and slightly mischievous, her hands resting casually on the steering wheel like she belonged there.
"Twilight!" Minghao reached the car, slightly breathless. "Does Daddy know you took this?"
"Hehehe... let's go, don't be worried!" Twilight's grin was unrepentant as she leaned over to unlock the passenger door. "Your momma gave me permission. And there's no way she'd let him get upset with me, so while they're out there on honeymoon, we should enjoy these exclusives!"
The logic was sound, if slightly questionable. Minghao hesitated for just a moment before the allure of riding in one of her father's prized vehicles won out over caution.
But before she could open the door, the crowd of students pressed closer, their restraint finally breaking.
