Arwen's brows furrowed slightly, and she turned her gaze to look at Selene.
Selene, on the other hand, felt on the edge. All she wanted was to make Arwen feel worse inside, the same as she was feeling. "I don't know whether you have noticed it before or not, Arwen, but your name shares quite a semblance with mine. Selene — Moon. Moon — Selene. They are not different as long as you search for their meanings."
"..." Arwen paused at that. She didn't speak, and seeing her silent, Selene finally felt a sense of relief.
Her lips curled in a smirk as she looked at Arwen and said, "I accept you are not vicious. I chose the wrong word. But I believe you are not that dumb to not see the obvious."
"You might be his wife today, but remember, Arwen … you are nothing but my substitute. You might deny it to accept, but that won't change the truth. The reality doesn't change on anyone's refusal."
And with that, she gave one last look and then stormed away. Carla followed after her.
