Jen remembered Axel's words. Wait.
But how could she? With every passing second, things were getting worse, she didn't know when they would get such an opportunity again.
Restless, she picked up the phone Axel had gotten her, the one she was only meant to use during emergencies. She reached under her bed, and took out her old phone from a box then switched it on.
Biting her lip, she dialed a number saved on her old phone and let it ring. Her chest pounding, she could barely grip the phone.
They needed evidence.
And fast.
If she and Axel stayed the way they were nothing would change.
She had to do something, even if it meant throwing herself in danger, she had to do something.
