Damien dropped Brooke off at the hotel and drove off, an unsettling feeling in his chest. His phone rang, he stared at his car's screen, it was his assistant, Nia calling.
"What is it?" He asked her.
"Sir, I got another call from the Graysons, they're asking about your progress. We're you able to speak to their son?" Nia asked.
Damien groaned, remembering why he had gotten himself tangled in this mess. "No. I met with his wife, but she doesn't seem affected by my threat to expose her relationship with Thane."
It was all bizarre. The country he was filming in was Thane's hometown. And what's worse, his family had been keeping tabs on him, and knew that he was in a cast with their daughter-in-law.
Nia clicked her tongue, "But you went back specifically because of the deal you made with his parents to bring him back with you." Just like in movies, they approached him and struck a deal with him.
