Chapter 8 - chapter 8

The screams of the soldiers who had stayed woke me the next day.

-What's happening? What is happening? Are they attacking us?

I ran out to see what was happening. At the head of all the chaos was Daichi, firm and serene, standing in front of all those who were willing to fight.

I did not understand the situation well, but the uproar made me think that the enemy was already close ... or even that he was already attacking us. A soldier approached me and gave me a sword.

"Toma, get ready to fight!" He told me urgently, before running and shouting at the rest they would take positions.

Daichi was heading to the soldiers gathered at the exit of the castle, raising the voice to encourage them before combat. Everyone listened to it carefully. When it ended, a generalized cry resonated in the air and the soldiers ran to their stalls, ready to resist the advance of the enemy.

The battle began. We fought melee, overcoming our enemies one by one. But suddenly, a terrifying shout was heard between the enemy ranks:

"Sound the dragon!"

A heartbreaking roar shook the air. We are all paralyzed. Fear was drawn on the faces of the soldiers; It was impossible to ignore that sound.

From behind the distant hills, a huge red dragon emerged. Mounted on his back came a scary manure: he had his eyes bandaged and wielded a huge ax. Without any effort, he jumped from the dragon's back and fell in front of the castle ... Without showing any pain signal, not even a fracture.

"Who is that guy?" Asked someone among the soldiers.

Several tried to attack him at the same time. But the man, with a single movement of his ax, left them in two, as if nothing.

Then Iko appeared, throwing a fast attack in the back. His sword managed to hurt the stranger, but he did not flinch.

"Who demons attacks in the back?" Asked the man with contempt.

"Me, or do you have to ask permission?" Iko replied arrogantly.

"You have no honor, damn human."

The man held him by the arm and raised him in the air, crashing him against the ground over and over again. Iko tried to defend himself, but he could barely move.

"You are weak." You don't deserve my mercy. Today you will die by my hand. Thanks that, human.

Iko tried to crawl to recover his sword, but the man held him by the leg and threw him strongly against the wall of the castle, leaving him unconscious.

The man turned, feeling a new presence ... but did not see anyone. It was then that, for an oversight, his feet were trapped in ice.

"Icema!" Shouted someone from darkness.

From the shadows Aiko emerged, another of the twelve heroes.
