Chapter 7 - chapter 7

When leaving the throne room, Mei approached me urgently. He spoke to me with a serious tone:

"Kurayami, you have to take the girl to a safe place before the battle begins."

I looked down at the floor, thinking where I could hide it or who to leave it. I didn't know anyone in this city. I couldn't take a risk to hurt him. I looked towards the entrance of the castle, where Mei already talked to Elena.

"Kurayami, come!" MEI shouted, calling me with my hand.

When I approached, she didn't waste time:

"We don't have a lot of room." There is a carriage that is on its way to the city of the semi -human ones, and must pass through the city of the elves. They offered us to take Elena without charging anything. It is our best option.

I was silent for a few seconds, my hardened expression.

"And who are those people?" I asked, distrustful. What if they hurt him?

"Outnquilo," he told me firmly. They are the King's daughter and his personal escorts. It will be sure, I promise you.

I sighed. Although I didn't like the idea, I nodded with a weak "okay."

Mei took Elena's hand and guided her to the carriage. Elena, understanding that we separated, turned and ran towards me. He hugged me strongly, with an expression between sad and hopeful.

"I hope this is not our last hug." Return alive, Kurayami. I will be waiting for you in the city of the elves.

I hugged her strongly. She was a strong girl, but also very fragile. Then, without more words, he went up to the carriage, which left immediately, disappearing along the way.

I stayed for a few seconds seeing the horizon, until I couldn't see the silhouette of the vehicle. Then I turned and returned with my brothers, who were waiting for me near the entrance of the castle.

While we were talking about the next movements, the gentleman approached us.

"There are rooms for each one in the castle." Rest and are ready for tomorrow.

Before he moved away, one of us asked him:

"Does what kingdom we are going to fight?"

The gentleman stopped, turning his head towards us.

"It's not a kingdom ..." he said seriously. They are people who call themselves. And other races have allied with them. They call themselves "The New Kingdom" and "The New Age."

His words left us silent. It was a completely different enemy from everything we imagined.

The afternoon passed quickly and silently. When the sun hid between the mountains, the night fell on the kingdom. A cold night, mist cover. In the sky two moons shone: one red like blood, the other blue like the deep ocean.

Each of us entered his room. Upon entering, I found hot food served on a small table. The smell was delicious, and the taste even more. I enjoyed it in silence, knowing that perhaps it would be the last quiet meal in a long time.

At the end, I went to bed. And in a few minutes, the dream beat me.
