Chapter 78 - THE HERO AND FATHER

Eve who suddenly noticed the tense atmosphere around her turned and what she saw made her eyes widen. She saw men and women holding forks, knives, torches and they didn't look happy at her, what was going on? The little girl thought, when she suddenly heard,

"She is a witch! Burn her!!"

What!

They came at her, she tried to run but the strange legs failed her and soon she was grabbed and tied in the middle of the angry people, she cried,

"Mother!!" Eve shouted, "What are you doing to me? Let me go," the little girl said with tears streaming down her eyes,

"So you think you can fool us witch! We will burn you right here," a man said glaring at Eve

"I am not a witch, I want to go to my mother,"

"Lies! Burn her now!!"

"Bunch of idiots," suddenly they all heard a deep voice, turning they saw a man with silver hair leaning against the wall as he smoked his cigarette,

At once the people noticed who he was and they all bowed, "Your highness!!"

Lucian didn't respond and just looked up at the little girl who now stared at him, tears was still evident in her eyes but he noticed she hadn't been really scared, if not she would have passed out. And the way she stared at him, he couldn't help but sense a feeling inside him,

"Your highness! A witch has come to kill us all," the man walked forward and said, Lucian turned to look at him,

"Kill you all not me or the sensible ones," Lucian spoke leaving the wall he was leaning on as the people stared at him shocked,

"Are you all dumb or just too blind to see sensible things," it wasn't a question but an insult to them, "You couldn't tell that she isn't a witch, how stupid are you all to not notice details," Lucian chuckled as he watched their faces.

He had just left Lyon's territory and had planned to walk back to the castle and see if he would come across a witch but who knew he would be coming across a fake child witch, he grinned,

"But-" the man tried to talk but was cut short,

"A witch with red eyes? Or are you all blind not to see that she is not a witch,"

They murmured realizing that the prince was right and that's when Sabrina who had been searching the entire market and had noticed a crowd ran in, her eyes fell on the person being tied to a stick and she quickly rushed to her,

"Mother!" The girl cried harder now

Sabrina didn't notice the eyes that caught her and held her and when he heard the little girl call her mother, he knew at once why he felt a connection towards the little girl, his daughter.

Sabrina and his daughter were back. The people had already started to disperse murmuring of how foolish they were. Sabrina quickly untied Eve and hugged her tight,

"Why did you leave my side!" She scolded, "I was so worried when I couldn't find you by my side,"

"I'm sorry, mother. I met a friend, she was nice to me and shared her doll with me, I was on my way back to you when I lost my way and these people came at me with forks and knives and called me a witch," Eve sobbed, "He saved me,"

Sabrina who frowned at all what her daughter said, suddenly slowly turned, she had ignored a strong aura she had felt ever since she arrived here, as she turned to the direction her daughter pointed, she saw him.....

Standing there watching them was Lucian with a small smile on his ever so handsome face, he looked so good Sabrina thought as she gulped,

"If it isn't my runaway bride," Lucian said with a wide grin on his face, before he turned to smile at the little girl, "And my grown up daughter,"

Eve just stared at the man, what was he saying? Eve saw her mother's shocked expression like she had seen a ghost,

"Mama, who is he?" She asked while both Sabrina and Lucian just stared at each other. Sabrina knew he was just grinning but deep down, she knew how angry he was feeling right now, she stood up and faced him,

"Your highness," she said before turning to look at her daughter, "He is your father,"

Eve eyes went wide as she once again turned to look at the man who her mother said was her father,

"I will go straight to the point but not today, Genevieve is-"

"Genevieve?" Lucian said as he remembered his mother whose name was Genevieve. So Sabrina had named their daughter the name he had chosen,

"Yes that's her name. We will be heading to my mother's house and will meet you at the castle tomorrow morning," Sabrina said looking ever so beautiful as she always does, even more...

Lucian noticed how even more pretty she had become and fuller in the breast and buttocks, but ever still slender and elegant with her black hair tied behind, and what he missed most, those eyes.... Rich emerald green eyes,

"What are you saying," he smiled and Sabrina knew he wanted to start hunting her again, "Why go there when we can all go to the castle right now and discuss..... Discuss why you left all this years with my child," he suddenly frowned. He wasn't going to let her off the hook today, he won't let her escape him ever again.
