By the time the clock struck nine, Bella was ready.
She stood in front of the mirror for a few quiet moments, smoothing the dress over her waist. The soft fabric hugged her figure beautifully before flowing gracefully to her ankles. A delicate necklace rested against her collarbone, catching the soft glow of the fairy lights, while her long hair fell in loose waves over her shoulders, framing her face like a gentle halo.
She looked at herself, then smiled shyly.
"...I hope he likes it."
A gentle knock came from the bedroom door.
"Mrs. Moretti?" The maid's respectful voice sounded from outside. "It's time."
Bella took one last look in the mirror before stepping out of the room. The maid smiled the moment she saw her.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, Mrs. Moretti."
Bella's cheeks turned slightly pink. "Thank you."
She followed the maid downstairs, where a black luxury car was already waiting outside the mansion. One of the guards respectfully opened the rear door for her.
