Leo nodded once.
Bella's cheeks flushed. She hugged the bunny instinctively, her fingers sinking into its impossibly soft fur. "Leo..." she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'm not a child anymore." She glanced around shyly, as though someone might be watching. "Only little kids... and teenage girls... buy stuffed toys."
Leo looked at her with his usual calm expression. "So?"
Bella became speechless. She opened her mouth, then closed it. Then opened it again.
"So..." she mumbled, looking down at the bunny. "I'm already married."
Leo gently placed the pink bunny into her arms, his fingers brushing against hers. "I know."
Bella hugged it instinctively before realizing what she had done. Her cheeks became even redder. "I-I was just holding it..."
Leo's lips curved into a faint smile. "I bought it for you. You don't need an excuse."
