"Hot pot should be fine, you don't eat pork anyway."
Lin Yan searched on her phone for a beef hot pot place she'd seen before. She had walked past a few times but never went in; it seemed to do pretty good business. But at this hour, there shouldn't be too many people since it was already quite late.
She wanted to check the reviews—if there were too many bad ones, she wouldn't waste the gas to go out of her way.
"Wait a sec, I need to take this call." Anna took out her phone. "It's my dad; he's probably calling to ask if I've gone home. Anytime I work past ten, he always complains, urging me not to overwork myself, to enjoy life, and cherish my health."
Lin Yan nodded.
Anna came back after the call, taking over ten minutes, feeling like she had completed a daily assignment.
"Let's pack up and go."
Lin Yan asked, "Do you guys talk every day? And you can talk for so long even every day."
