Nathan's smile was the first thing that greeted her after opening her eyes. The moment the contract was activated, her consciousness suddenly went blank. It was as if she were in the middle of the dark water, just continuously falling to the bottomless sea.
Her mind was still sluggish, but she could move her body again. "Nathan…"
"Everything works out. You're fixed now." Nathan used a slightly joking word to ease her mind and showed that nothing had happened to him.

"Sure." Nathan held her hand and gently pushed her back.
"Looks like everything went smoothly… Did you really change my name? I'm not Evelyn Lavender—!" Evelyn was shocked when uttering that name. For some reason, uttering the name she had had for the last 26 years would have been smooth and familiar.
