Chapter 154 - 154 - Exhibition hall 2

"Ooohoho! Seeing all these peasants scuffing about has gotten me riled up!" (Feilin)

As if the pair of elegant twin drills possessed her to make this anachronistic speech, she guffawed with gusto and her voice tore through the surrounding air like a clear bell. Each syllable landing with perfect enunciation, honestly it felt like people were witnessing some sort of magnificent talent that they didn't mind being berated as peasants.

"Wowie, looks like someone's too big for their britches! What the hell did you eat for so little nutrients, but so much haughtiness to reach your head?" (Pheena)

"Pft!? You traitor! You were the one who told me to speak like this!" (Feilin)

She was posing with a fan too, straight out of a villainess manga, but the air she exuded echoed the undeniable ferocity of a high born pure bred noble lady. Pheena couldn't help but let out some chuckles, she couldn't keep a straight face after reprimanding Feilin, betraying her not so hidden guilt. The others didn't make too much of a commotion, in such a noisy venue no one would notice or care about such insulting remarks. It was all in good fitting with the atmosphere of this place, after all cos play and roleplay was rampant all around.

Acting out some delusional lines only served to make the group blend in instead.

"Fufu, how lively~" (Yggdrasil)

"Right? It's fascinating how the venue could really change people up!" (Arin)

Her navy blue hair swayed elegantly, strangely the large one piece dress fit her to a tee. Her movements seemed so natural that they flowed like water, her supple fingers dashed through the air, each joint seemed to be angled perfectly and her body almost seemed as if it was dancing. In reality, she was walking rather naturally, or perhaps it was difficult to comprehend how she had taken to her role without any overt changes.

Beautiful. Each step she took, every miniscule movement she released, the way her chest subtly heaved as she discretely sighed, the way she planted her heels over the next step in a way that secured her footing while avoiding it looking out of place. She was dressed up as a princess from some show she watched, and she really liked the princess character the most. If they had let her drone on and on about the things she liked about the character, they wouldn't have made it onto the venue in time. It was opened all year round, but that didn't mean it lasted 24 hours.

Rather, to keep up the flow of traffic instead of receiving too many customers in one day, they kept the operating hours rather short. 12 pm to 10 pm, even then 10 hours was exhausting for those manning the booths, and they all had their individual discretion. If they wanted to retire early they were free to do so.

Lastia herself wore a squire like outfit, attached with several sci-fi like accessories. The character she was dress up as came from the same show as Arin's, her baggy pants contrasted with her rather fitting top that pressed against her skin. According to Arin, her character had a lot more fans even though she wasn't the main character. To be honest, Lastia couldn't care less, but she wanted to blend into the atmosphere too. It was the actual on site activities that caught her attention, she hadn't watch much of the show itself and found it hard to relate to Arin's enthusiasm.

Even so, she smiled softly and nodded along whenever Arin began to gush about the things she liked. Sariel herself donned a beautiful outfit from another show, she resembled a shrine maiden that was blended with modern elements. The skirt was short and the stockings reached all the way up her legs, the long baggy sleeves were retained along with the general colour scheme of red and white, but some black accents were added.

She wielded a gohei slightly over half her height, a purification rod for traditional ritualistic rites. She seemed to be having fun as she swung the rod around while behind the other two. The rest didn't seem to be dressing up as any particular characters, sporting casual wear as they entered the venue with the group.

Faramicia wore a pair of jeans that paired well with his blond bangs, a white t shirt and a black jacket. Hengji wore beige shorts and a grey shirt, and he wore sandals. It looked like it was homewear compared to others. Juri and Pheena was the same. It might have been troublesome to actually get an outfit just to play in this venue for one day, Arin happened to have the princess and squire costume on hand, while Sariel's was rented. Feilin's fancy dress was her own...

Walking slightly in front, Lastia abruptly turned around before offering a hand.

"Might I take your hand? Ladies?" (Yggdrasil)

She might have been getting into the mood as well. A little drunk on the atmosphere as they would say. Meanwhile the two recipients of the invitation were stunned for a moment. Arin stepped forward and took a hand, before looking back at Sariel with a wink and a stuck out tongue. She was teasing Sariel, who simply accepted it head on. Taking the cue, she followed Arin and similarly took the other hand. Awkwardly, they turned around with their palms connected, before walking off hand in hand.

"Let's do some window shopping on the way to the main objective! With stuff like this, it's fine to take it slow~" (Arin)

"Sounds good." (Yggdrasil)

"Mhmm!" (Sariel)

As much of a surprise as it was, they spontaneously forgot about how they were holding hands and split off to check out the nearby stalls.

"Look! There are some thin books here. What do you think?" (Yggdrasil)

"Ah-ah! What do I think?! Why are you asking me?" (Sariel)

"Hehe!" (Yggdrasil)

She choked out some laughs as she observed Sariel's fluster, was she caught unawares? She was staring off into the distance before she realised she was spoken to, rather it might have been guilt for being caught staring at the thin book perched at the front of the stall. Even then, these thin books are all fan made works, if it was promiscuous surely it would have been labeled. It was safe to say they were staring at an all ages book that was appropriate for anyone to read.

"Jeez, what were you guys doing? We don't have all day." (Arin)

She pushed the other two, a calm dazzling smile crowned upon her lips. Was it the dress, or was she always this beautiful?
