I hit the wing at the same time the rogue got pinned to the wall, and my blood went hot before I even saw his face.
One warrior had his arm twisted back, and the other had him by the throat, and he still had the nerve to keep his mouth moving.
I stepped in close and jabbed a finger at his chest.
“You really tried to crawl toward my baby’s room?”
His eyes snapped to mine, and he gave me a grin that made my skin crawl.
“I heard the princess runs this place now,” he muttered, and he spat a little to the side. “I do not take orders from a little girl.”
My hand moved before I could process what he said, and the slap rang through the hall.
The rogue’s head snapped to the side, and both warriors went still.
I sucked in a breath and slapped him twice harder.
“I am the little girl you were dumb enough to run your mouth at, and my baby was ten feet from you when you tried your little stunt.”
He laughed through the blood in his mouth, and I saw red all over again.
