Minerva Cosmina Wyllt-Miryūshi
The following week leading up to my departure was mostly uneventful, I spent the time preparing the palace staff for my absence as well as saying farewell to all the residents. The capital held a massive festival to celebrate my departure, and I was left speechless, there were all sorts of food stalls, like pickled elkboar feet, udon and ramen shops, but no festival in Mirini would be complete without Jollof, and the best Jollof in the capital was served at Babamaru's Merchant Guild Hall. The cooks in the hall were all from Ryūni and were hand selected by Babamaru and his father and had to go through meticulous training in order to gain employment.
Although the requirements are rigid, I'd be remiss to say that the food and service at this establishment were to die for. What makes the Jollof so spectacular is the quality of the ingredients; according to Babamaru, the rice is grown in Miryudōra, the cooking oil and spices are imported from Dartaania and Sidhe, while the meat and produce come from Besteria and Jigoku; the dish is almost like a representation of the entire realm. I knew deep down that I would miss this city and all its glory, but I was even more excited to start a new chapter in my life.
"Attention," an LGIN window alerted me, "Pending Status… Pending… Pending… System is still unable to rewrite the Soultext belonging to Jamisha Pockets." I made it a habit to continuously check the status of my LGIN personal data and ever since I announced the formation of Tesseract, I walked this world as Minerva, not as Jamisha, and as a result, I'd all but forgotten the life that I had prior. I closed the system's window as we continued spectating the festivities, I didn't have a lot of time to spend, it was the day that I needed to take off of course.
"Pssst! M'Lady!!" I heard someone shout from a dark alley, it was Antoinette, "Come quick, we've got your carriage ready outside the East Gate!" She motioned me to follow her, which I did. I didn't want to stay too long at the festival, especially because I have a habit of overindulging myself and losing track of time.
At my carriage I was met by a very welcomed sight, "MINI!!" The doors of the carriage burst open revealing my dearest and best friend Renata, "Woah! Who is she?! She's stunning! Breathtaking! An Imperial Beauty!!" Renata continued to shower me in compliments.
"Nata! I can say the same thing about you!" I exclaimed, matching my best friend's energy, "Girl, you are too fine; I see you! Shoot, you look so good, I could take you as a bride!" The entire group erupted in laughter as we entered the coach. Inside the carriage sat Stellaphoña and Autumn Winters, two more of my old classmates would also be joining the Student Council.
"How do you do," greeted Autumn, "It's always a pleasure to share a space with you Princess."
"Oh Auto," I huffed, "You can drop the formalities, no one is around to hear us."
Autumn's face began to grow red, so much so that it almost matched her dark auburn hair, "But Mini! You have the highest rank out of the whole group; I cannot in good faith be so casual with you!"
"Lady Autumn," Ayosaki's voice cut through the tension, "you already spoke to the princess in a casual manner when you referred to her majesty as, 'Mini'." The carriage's atmosphere shifted to something rather uncomfortable, "However, seeing as everyone in this carriage can lay a claim to the status of 'Royal,' I don't see an issue, if it is done in private."
I leaned over Ayo shoulder and gave her a devious grin, "Oh Ayo, since when did you become such a softy!" Ayo rolled her eyes and returned the smile, the years have been kind to her, she was nowhere near as high strung as she was when we first met.
"M'Ladies, we're approaching the city's limits," Touka announced from outside the carriage, "the city welcomes you all back with open arms!" I opened the curtains of the stagecoach's window and was greeted by the familiar sights of magic shops, armories, and the trade market.
"It feels so good to be back," Stellaphoña announced with a gentle smile on her face, "like a second home, awaiting to be used for holiday."
When we made our way to the campus, I was enamored by the detail of the school's architecture; the school felt more like a castle than an institution. There were paintings of the staff hanging throughout all the hallways of the campus and those same halls felt as though they could go on for forever. There was one painting that caught my eye however, it was of a woman, a woman I'd seen from somewhere, but I wasn't able to tell you where though.
"You must be Princess Minerva," a sweet, unfamiliar, yet pleasant voice tapped my shoulder, I turned and saw what I initially thought was a Nightskinned Demon, however, their skin looked a bit different than the Nightskinned Demons I was familiar with. Their skin was more ethereal, the star pattern they had was complimented by an assortment of nebulous clouds that was reminiscent of vitiligo. As stunning as they were, I was having a difficult time understanding their gender, perhaps they didn't have a gender at all. The Nightskinned Demon gave me a warm, breathtaking smile and stuck their hand out before continuing, "My name is Morrigan Lafayette, I'm our decade block's student body president, I've heard so much about you!"
Before I could reach for their hand however, Ayo inserted herself between us and began to size them up, "How come I've never heard of you? For all I know, you could be a Dartaani spy—!"
SMACK—!
"Ouch! Your Majesty!" Ayo pouted as she rubbed the back of her head.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Xadam President," I stated giving a modest curtsy, "I look forward to serving the Student Body as it's Secretary."
"Secretary?" Morrigan raised a brow and shrugged their shoulders, "oh I could've sworn I sent you an updated invitation, no matter. Since I have you here, I might as well just tell you, I'm making you, my Vice President!" The student council president stuck their arms in the air to celebrate, much to my confusion.
"What are you talking about," my question was genuine, "I'd only ever received the one invitation." It was weird, actually, now that I think about it, I only knew about the first invitation because I had to pry it out of Ayosaki's hands, that's it. "Ayosaki!" I sneered through my clenched teeth.
My right hand nervously began to sweat as she stood at attention, "y-yes, Your Majesty, how may I be of service—." Ayo was a very strong warrior, fierce and intimidating, but she paled in comparison to the rage I was currently feeling.
"Is there something you'd like to say?" I eerily whispered to my subordinate, "I'm sure you can think of some explanation as to why I didn't receive this update, well?" I'm sure I looked like some evil witch who takes pleasure in punishing her subjects, and that couldn't be further from the truth; however, this one requires "tough love".
"Let's all just calm down," Morrigan said softly, "no need to get all worked up. You're here now and I've given you the update; speaking of updates, the rest of the council is in the conference room, we'll do formal introductions there." We were escorted to our decade block's conference room, which wasn't too far from where we met the president. Inside the room sat some familiar faces; in total there were eight of us. Morrigan walked to the head of the long table and stood before us all, "Welcome all to Avalon Academy; now that I have all the members of our block's Student Council, I'd like for us to get started. I've already introduced myself individually, however I find it pertinent that I do it again here, my name is Princus Morrigan Lafayette of The Twilight Quarter, your Student Council President. I would like to take the time for us to introduce ourselves and the roles you hold. After that, I'll lay out our expectations as members of the Student Council, and to end things, we'll hear a word from our Head Mistress to better prepare for our future academic career."
The seven of us gently applauded the president's words and they motioned to me to begin the introductions, "Konbanwa, ogenki desu ka? Good evening, how are you all, my name is First Crown Princess of Miryudōra, Crown Princess Minerva Cosmina Wyllt-Miryūshi and I will be your Student Council Vice President."
The other members applauded my introduction as I sat back down, motioning Ayo to follow my lead, "Konbanwa, my name is Minami Ayosaki, I'm pleased to meet you all, I'll be acting as the council's Disciplinary Committee Representative." Although Ayo can be temperamental, she did have some level of couth and was able to behave herself.
The next person to introduce themselves was someone that I was rather surprised to see, "Kowagwan, mi ah Mugen Yume, of the Twilight Quarter, and I will be this decade's Secretary." It had been many years since I'd seen Yume and Karenza, and the fact that both of them were here, let me know that that sucker Socodka was likely going to be a member of the Disciplinary Committee.
"Hiya, everyone!" Karenza jumped from her seat, "I'm Karenza Sadīvī from Tensura in East Sidhe, and I'm going to do my best as our Treasurer!" I looked over to Stellaphoña, who was clearly annoyed by Karenza's introduction, and I won't lie, it did come off as a bit fake.
"Greetings all," Autumn rose from her chair, "I am the Aquarian Ice Guardian; Autumn Winters, from the Faewelt Kingdom of West Sidhe. I'm pleased to meet you all and I will be the council's Committee Chairperson." It didn't dawn on me right away, but all the people in this room were all important to the future of this realm, and it made these introductions seem more serious than I initially thought.
"Buen noche, soy Princess Renata Timandra Faust-Bestahla from Bestalagro," Renata began as she stood up, "I'm excited and I look forward to serving the student body as its Historian." With the same poise that she had as she rose, Renata gracefully sat back down and immediately shot daggers with her eyes at Stellaphoña, who promptly got up to introduce herself.
"Hola, hola," Stellaphoña stuttered, "Buen noche, soy Princess Stellaphoña Griffonia from the Kingdom of Fangalore, I'll be serving as your Parliamentarian, and I look forward to doing so." Once she finished, Stellaphoña returned a fierce glare at Renata, who wasn't too happy by it. Although the two were cousins, Renata and Stellaphoña have always viewed each other as rivals, Fangalore is the defunct kingdom of Besteria, after all.
Clap—, clap—. "Wonderful, that shall conclude our introductions," Xadam President interluded with a gentle clap, "I'd like for us to first understand what it is we'll be doing, like our responsibilities. As members of Avalon Academy's Student Council, you each will take part in bi-weekly meetings to discuss new regulations the academy set, as well as fundraising, event planning and much more. Tomorrow we'll get a chance to meet the rest of the Disciplinary Committee along with their Deputy Commander, I hope you can take this opportunity to get familiar with one another." Xadam President seemed like a very genuine person, and perhaps it was their smile, or the way they carried themselves; either way, Princus Morrigan radiated a beauty unlike I'd ever seen.
"With all that out of the way," Xadam President stood from their seat, "would you all please rise and welcome our illustrious headmistress, Madame Tepes!" As we stood, the door to the conference room opened and in walked the woman from the painting that I was transfixed on. The woman had jet black hair and fuchsia-colored eyes; her skin was pale; however, it looked soft and supple, youthful even. The headmistress wore a laced corset-dress that was black with a mermaid train, and to top it all off, she had a furless miniature lynx resting between her bosoms.
"Why thank you Xadam President," the headmistress' voice was surprisingly deep given her appearance, "you may all take your seats. My name is Madame Spinella Tepes, Head Mistress of Avalon Academy, and I am honored to have such esteemed students for this new upcoming class. As you may have already figured out, the enrollment window for new students happens once every ten years, and once enrolled, you'll be expected to live on campus as residents for the remaining eighty years. During this time, you will be able to hone your skills and better understand your majors and other academics."
Madame Tepes took the seat adjacent to Xadam President, from between her breast, she pulled out a fan, "the first thing I'd like for you all to do is to organize both the 'New Student Enrollment Ceremony' as well as the 'Welcome Festival'. You'll only be responsible for your Decade Block, so there's no need to worry about the upper classmen." The headmistress swung her fan open to partially hide her face, "tomorrow we'll meet here again to get acquainted with this block's Disciplinary Unit, and from there we'll tour, so you can better acclimate to the campus."
Once the meeting was over, Madame Tepes and Xadam President dismissed the rest of us; the student council were amongst the top students enrolled in the academy. Along with the Disciplinary Committee, the Student Council will be delegated to a manor on campus; the manor will be split between the two groups, and each of us were assigned our own private rooms.
The manor was located in the far western part of campus neighboring the campus' arena and library; the inside was decorated with the school's colors, crimson, pearl white, and Vanta black, and there was an enormous bouquet of flowers sitting in the foray with a note that read "Welcome to Leywin Manor, see attachment, and please review your room assignments. The female and femme presenting students are designated to the right side of the manor, while male and masc presenting students are assigned to the left side. The home is equipped with a large garden and gazebo, a full-sized kitchen, a library, an indoor hot springs, and twenty private rooms, each with its own bathroom. The maintenance staff is available between the hours of dawn until dusk and can be alerted via the red ropes hanging throughout the manor. Lastly, as the owners of this manor, Paul and I would like for you all to meet with us tomorrow afternoon so that we may formally introduce ourselves. Please make yourself at home, and welcome." The letter was signed by Ruth Leywin.
We all made our way to our respective rooms, and I was enthralled in the interior design of the room, the room was set up just like my room in Mirini, from the bed and tatami mats, and even the spare suite. How were they able to replicate my room down to the tea, I wondered, no matter, today has me completely beat, and the only thing I want to do right now is to sleep...
The Following Day
The following morning, I was able to relax in the hot springs with Ayo and Renata; it was moments like this that made me miss my first sea voyage. The three of us hadn't had a chance to spend time with each other like this since I started training to become a proper princess.
When we finished and got dressed for the day, I was greeted at the front door by a very welcomed sight, "So, this is where we'll be living, huh?" It was my adoptive brother, Iniko, along with Myrlin, Ogunosuke and the rest of the Disciplinary Committee. "Mini, is that you? Sis! How have you been," Iniko rushed to hug me, it really had been a while since I'd seen my brothers, both he and Myrlin were much taller and muscular than I remembered.
"Niko?" I asked pulling away getting a good look at him; he had grown his hair out and sported cornrows, "Holy shit! Look at YOU! You're nothing like the kid we picked up when we started at Caliburn!"
"Niko, chill," Myrlin sighed, "it's only been sixty years since we all saw each other, and besides, after the next eighty years, she'll probably get sick of us." Myrlin approached us and gave me a warm smile before giving me a hug, "Missed you, Sis, it's good to see you again."
I returned the hug, "you too, it'll be like when were kids, growing up in the father's manor."
"Oh, Mom and Dad decided to turn the land the manor was on into a village," Myrlin pointed, "it's called Chronowa Village, and the manor was given to the new village chief, Chronowa Riyade. She's a former royal knight and Dad let her know that he'd like for me to use it as my training village, you and Ogun just must come and test it out!" The twinkle in my brother's eyes was bright, and I could tell that he and Iniko have gotten much stronger since we were kids.
"I'd love to come visit the village," acknowledged Ogunosuke, "and after that, we can take you both to our training village of Minojō. Chief Kenji just finished the new renovations and told us that we're more than welcome to come by!"
"Well, if it isn't the filthy 'Mixed Bloods'," a scratchy and unpleasant voice barked, and my prior theory was proven to be right on the money, it was Socodka, "Thanks to you, I missed my chance to be our block's Deputy Commander and was reduced to fifth seat! Mark my words, Myrlin, I'll make you pay!" The Dartaani boy stood at eye level to my brother, giving him an intense glare, to which Myrlin found amusing.
"Is that so, Soca?" Myrlin smiled arrogantly, "and risk being 'Dishonorably Discharged' and expelled from the academy? Go right ahead, I won't stop you from making such an idiotic mistake." The tension in the foray was thick as the rest of the Disciplinary Committee entered the manor. Although it had been some time since I'd seen my elder brother, I could tell just by the look in his eyes that he was itching to fight this elf dweeb.
CLAP--! CLAP--!
"There will be enough of that, thank you," a butler stood at the top of the stairs announced, "it would seem that both Student Council and the Disciplinary Committee have checked in. My name is Yashmont Gulzarian, Head Butler of the Leywin Manor, and I am pleased to announce that both Sir Paul Leywin and Lady Ruth Leywin are ready to meet you in the manor's garden." I was thankful for the interruption, between Myrlin and myself, the distain that we had for Socodka was immeasurable, and if Myrlin hadn't spoken up, I would have, and I don't think that would be becoming of a princess, especially one that was just appointed as Vice President.
Once the rest of the residents settled into their rooms, we were all set to meet with the owners of the manor in the garden; outside in the back was a massive labyrinth with a giant gazebo in its center. There were twenty chairs placed and there was a middle-aged couple waiting for us. "Welcome students, please take a seat so that we may begin," the man stated, if I had to guess, he must have been Paul.
"My name is Ruth Leywin," the woman introduced, "and this is my husband, Paul Leywin, we are the owners of this manor. We are both most excited to have you all staying with us for the next ten years. First order of business, we'd like to begin with general introductions, so just state your name and where you are from."
Ruth motioned to Xadam President to begin, "Thank you Lady Ruth; Kowagwan, mi ah Princus Morrigan Lafayette from The Twilight Quarter, I'm pleased to meet you all and I look forward to being our block's Student Council President." Their introduction was met with a generous applause as they sat back down, and the rest of us student council members each followed suit.
"Next," Paul acknowledged, "I'd like for the Disciplinary Committee to introduce themselves and your positions." He'd nodded at Myrlin, who got up to face the rest of us.
"Koncha, genki desu," Myrlin began, "I am the Crown Prince of Garyudōra Myrlin Samael Wyllt-Garyūshi , I'll be your Deputy Commander and the Zero Seat of the Disciplinary Committee. I'm stoked to be here, and I look forward to working with you all." He exited the center of the gazebo while we gave him his applause, and like clockwork, Ogunosuke and Iniko walked to the front.
"Konnichewa, Hikariryūshi Ogunosuke ori wa," Ogy announced, "I'll be this block's Captain of the Disciplinary committee, I can tell this unit is filled with capable officers."
"And my name is Iniko Wyllt," Iniko stepped forward, "I'm this block Vice Captain; will the following Disciplinary Committee officers please step forward as your name is called: Third Seat, Minami Ayosaki, Fourth Seat, Ololadeseijin Akinyemi, Fifth Seat, Socodka Geerida, Sixth Seat, Tibald Dracoventis, Seventh Seat, Arjun Titanica, Eighth Seat, Gonzalo Tigress, Ninth Seat, Keyonte Alucard, Tenth Seat, Guillermo Devereux II, and Eleventh Seat, Takunwá Ariyuki."
One by one, each of the Disciplinary officers stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder. Ogy marched forward and saluted placing his right hand vertically in the middle of his chest, and as he did, the rest of the officers followed, "the eleven officers of this Decade Block's Disciplinary Committee are here to enforce the regulations and standards students must be held to. We will be tasked to patrol both the campus as well as the main city in pairs of two and will report any findings to the Deputy Commander for further instructions."
We gave them an applause as Myrlin approached the center once again, "as of now, I as this block's Deputy Commander, hereby name this Disciplinary Unit, The ShanGri-Guard!" There were a few groans amongst the officers as well as from the student council; the name wasn't bad; it just needed a little more thought behind it.
Clap—, clap—.
"Ahohoho!" Madame Tepes' laughter filled the gazebo, "as is tradition of the Disciplinary Committee. Having an awful name means students are less likely to break rules and mind themselves. I believe the name is perfect! Take Decade Eight's Academy Police or Decade Five's Eleven Pillars, no student alive would want to face a punishment from a member of the Academy Police."
Myrlin's face was simultaneously proud and embarrassed by the headmistress' remark, "way to humble me, Supreme Commander; I for one find it rather fitting, and besides, who doesn't love a good pun?!" My brother's question was met with a laugh from the rest of the students and Madame Tepes, and it was at that moment I realized exactly where I recognized the headmistress from.
"Ayosaki, I want you to keep tabs on Madame Tepes for me," I shot Ayo a message via "Thought Communication."
"She's raised some suspicion, Your Majesty?" Ayo inquired, "I'll find out what I can about her. She's too whimsical for my liking."
"Back when I was enrolled in Caliburn, my brother Myrlin was kidnapped," I began to explain, "and the woman that kidnapped him had dark hair and fuchsia-colored eyes; sound familiar?"
"I do recall your brother being involved in an incident like that," there was a pause before Ayo's response, "consider it done, Your Majesty."
Morrigan Lafayette
After the introductions of the manor's residents, I intended to meet with the rest of the student council to discuss plans for the Welcome Ceremony; however, I found it hard to focus on the task at hand. During the introductions, Myrlin's introduction, in particular, I couldn't help but be enamored by his presence, and I could have possibly imagined it, but I swear I felt as though he and I were the only two people in the gazebo, there's no time for silly little crushes, Alé Princus, mett'w tet nan jè a!
"Xadam President, do you have a moment," it was Myrlin, his voice was both soothing and rustic, "I'd like to discuss the security arrangements for both the Welcome Ceremony and the New Student Festival." He approached me wearing his Disciplinary Committee uniform, it was similar to the academy's standard uniform, however the colors were inverted; the base was pearl white with accents of crimson, and his undershirt was black. The uniform was designed to stick out amongst not only the rest of the officers in the disciplinary committee, but from the entire student body.
The Deputy Commander position at Avalon Academy is the only permanent position students can hold; it is a reminder to the rest of the school that this student is the strongest mages in their respective decade blocks, they're called "The Zero Seats." It was Myrlin that hand selected each officer and gave them their seats, as well as recommending me appointing Minerva as my Vice President.
"Oh, yes!" I exclaimed, "I was actually on my way to the conference room now to plan with the council, you're more than welcome to join me."
"I was thinking of having the officers work in shifts for both the ceremony and the festival," Myrlin began, "with the exception of myself and seats one and two; we're supposed to make an appearance at every block's ceremony."
"Is that so," I asked, "I suppose that makes sense, you are the strongest student in our block." Is this really happening right now, am I actually holding a conversation with The Crown Prince of Garyudōra, Myrlin Garyūshi, I was my absolute best not to show him I was flustered, "oh it looks like we've made it," I noted.
Myrlin quickly grabbed the door handle and opened it, "after you, Xadam." He gave me a soft smile and when our eyes met, it was like I could see my future with him. His eyes were a rich and vibrant gold that stuck out like a sore thumb against his reddish-brown skin; his hair, although wild, looked soft and he wore it pulled back into a ponytail. Myrlin's gaze never left my own, even after he'd opened the door, the two of us stood in the doorway, eyes fixated on one another.
"Ehem, Xadam President, Deputy Commander," Minerva cleared her throat to grab our attention, "I find it rather prudent that we get started with the planning for both the ceremony and the festival." My vice furrowed her brow and folded her arms, much to our chagrin.
"Oh right," I prostrated myself before my council, "my apologies council members, now that we are all present, I'd like for us to start the preparations for the New Student Ceremony and the Welcome Festival."
One week later; Campus Event Grounds, Avalon Academy, Coastal Federation of Avalon; 23 Galdary 80R7X
Today is the day for the New Student Ceremony and the Welcome Festival; the Student Council and the Disciplinary Committee agreed that during the officers will work in groups of three for the day, considering the first three seats were required to make appearances at every ceremony being held today. Our block was to start first today and when I took a peek from behind the stage, I saw that the Event Grounds was starting to get a bit crowded.
SCREEEEEEEECH— "uh hello," a student from the Media Club spoke into a magic crystal, "sorry about that! My name is Kuroyami Kiyoshi, and I'll be your MC for today's events! Let's make some noise!" The crowd of students all began to cheer as colored smoke billowed, and fireworks began to fire. "Now it's a party! As leader of the Media Club, it's my job to ensure events like this are all the rage! I'm gonna deliver around the clock updates on everything happening in or around campus; but enough of me! Decade Block 1, let me hear you shout and make some noise for your Student Council President, the baddest president I'd ever seen, Xadam President, Morrigan Lafayette!"
I stepped forward on to the stage and I was completely blown away by the reaction, tens of thousands of students who I've never met, seen, nor heard of all began to applaud and cheer my name, "thank you, Kuroyami, and thank you to all the new students of Avalon Academy. As stated, my name is Morrigan Lafayette, your Student Council President and I am most grateful to all of you. I stand before you today, not only as your President, but also as your fellow student. We are here today to acknowledge all of our efforts to become some of the most influential mages this realm has ever seen; it brings me great pleasure to share this academic space with you all." The crowd once again flew into uproar; I raised my hand to gather their attention, "thank you; now, don't just applaud for me, for I am not the only member of the Student Council. Please give a warm welcome to this block's Student Council!"
Starting with Princess Minerva, the rest of the Student Council each stepped on stage wearing their school uniforms. Much like the Disciplinary Committee, the Student Council also has a distinct uniform; as council members, we are to wear the crimson variation with black accents and our underclothes being pearl white
Minerva stepped forward next to me, "Ohayou, Student Body, my name is Minerva Cosmina Wyllt-Miryūshi, and I will be acting as this block's Vice President." The crowd started to frenzy at the mere mention of the princess's name, "as Xadam President stated, we are all grateful to share this space you, and I intend to make myself available to all of you during our time here on campus. Now without further ado, please allow me to introduce your Student Council: serving as the block's secretary, Mugen Yume, Treasurer, Karenza Sadīvī, Historian, Renata Timandra Faust-Bestahla, Disciplinary Committee Representative, Minami Ayosaki, Parliamentarian, Stellaphoña Griffonia, and finally Committee Chairperson, Autumn Winters. These following students are hereby acknowledged as your new Student Council!" Completely in sync with one another, each of the council members stood at attention, much to the delight of the rest of the student body.
"Thank you, Madam Vice President," I bowed before Minerva, "however, I don't want us to stop there. Next, I'd like to introduce you to some very important and special students; The Disciplinary Committee holds some of the strongest students the academy has to offer, and it satisfies me that each of us will be able to the air of safety knowing that we are all protected. Without further delay, please put your hands together for the leaders of each Decade Block's Deputy Commander, also known in as The Zero Seats!" Like the student council before them, the Deputy Commanders of each block stepped onto the stage and were greeted with a thunderous applause.
The Zero Seats each stood shoulder-to-shoulder as Myrlin approached the magic crystal, "Koncha, Decade Block One, my name is Myrlin Samael Wyllt-Garyūshi, our block's Zero Seat and Deputy Commander. I'm thrilled to be here standing alongside the other deputies, and I am honored to be the one to not only protect you, but also to serve a representative for the Decade Block as a whole." Once again, the entire student body erupted into applause, and as if he had power over their actions, Myrlin lifted his hand to silence the crowd, "Now, allow me to introduce you to my fellow Zero Seats; from Decade Two, we have Sable Novara, Decade Three, Aisha Seraphis, from Decade Four, Antoine Nightingale, Decade Five, Marrik Aldorf, from Decade Six, Nebulosa Ishita, Decade Seven, Cain Winters, and lastly from Decade Eight, we have Francesca Winters." The eight deputies each stepped forward and bowed before the student body; the level of dignity and power these students exuded was unreal.
After the Zero Seat presentation and the other deputies exited the stage, Myrlin introduced the rest of the Disciplinary Committee; overall, I'd say this New Student Ceremony was a success, and the only thing that there was left to do was to have as much fun during the Welcome Festival. I hope I can find time to meet with him, I thought to myself; it was no secret that I was developing affections towards the Deputy Commander, Mi cyaah help mi-self, him so alluring an formidable, maybe di Prinshah can gi mi some advice.
