He lay on the cold, damp ground, surrounded by towering trees and unfamiliar stars. His body felt weak, foreign. As he sat up, pain shot through his skull, and memories that weren't his flooded his mind.
"Kael…?" The name echoed in his thoughts.
Images of another life flashed before him. A young man, a wandering scholar, someone with no power or special destiny. And now, Tim was in his place.
"This isn't just reincarnation… This is another universe entirely."
His heart pounded as he reached for his power, desperate to break free from this world but nothing happened. His abilities were sealed, his divine essence locked away. For the first time, he was truly powerless.
A rustling in the bushes made him tense. Someone was approaching.
A young woman stepped into view, her sharp gaze assessing him. She wore rugged travel gear, a dagger at her side, her stance wary.
"You shouldn't be here," she said firmly.
Tim or Kael met her gaze. He didn't belong in this world, this body, or this universe. But if fate had brought him here, he had only one choice.
