The Next Morning....
Radika slowly opened her eyes, holding her head. The pain was still there, dull and heavy. Rudra stood near her bed with a glass in his hand.
"Drink this," he said, passing her the honey water.
She took it and looked at him curiously. "Sir… how did we come home yesterday?"
"I carried you," Rudra replied plainly. "Don't you remember anything?"
Radika blinked. "Huh? What happened? Sir, Did I… did I talk?"
Rudra raised an eyebrow. "You don't remember?"
She paused for a moment, worried. "I didn't do anything embarrassing, right?"
"No," Rudra said after a second. "But you really don't remember anything?"
Radika scratched her head, sighing. "No, sir… nothing at all.
Rudra let out a small sigh, turned his face away, and said softly, "Then leave it.
The next day...
Rudra and Radhika left as usual after breakfast.
In the car, Radhika leaned back with a smile. "Today feels so refreshing, sir. Thank God we went to the bar before Sunday. If it was on a college day, it would've been so tiring, right sir?"
Rudra just nodded his head and smiled a little at her childishness. "Yeah," he said simply.
He dropped her at the usual place, but this time the same pair of eyes noticed them again. Radhika casually got down from the car and waved goodbye. "Bye, sir."
She walked into the college as usual, unaware that the gaze followed her closely.
Sara and Hima spotted her and greeted happily. "Hey, Radhika!" Sara smiled, then turned. "Good morning, Rohan."
Radhika paused, turning back in surprise to see Rohan standing right behind her. She didn't think much of it and walked along with them.
In the canteen, Sara and Hima were happily expressing their pub experience to Radhika. Radhika listened with a smile, nodding at their stories.
Then Rohan came and asked,
"Radhika, how was your pub experience?"
Radhika was stunned for a second.
Sara immediately said, "Are you mad, Rohan? Radhika never went to a pub. She didn't come with us that day."
Rohan said, "Oh sorry! I forgot she didn't come with us. But Sara… does it mean she never went to a pub?"
Hima frowned. "What do you mean, Rohan?"
Rohan quickly replied, "I didn't mean anything, I'm just saying."
Radhika then said, "Stop it, guys. I never went to a pub, just chill. Hima, he didn't mean anything." She brushed it off, but deep down she doubted—
Did he see us at the pub? she questioned herself.
That evening Rudra picked up Radhika, but she was lost in her own world, thinking about Rohan's strange question. She stayed silent in the car, her mind elsewhere.
After coming home, she did all her usual work but didn't really talk to Rudra or his mother. The whole time, she kept wondering, Should I tell Rudra sir or not?
In their room,
Rudra finally asked, "What happened, Radhika? Is everything good?"
"Yeah, sir, I'm good. I was just thinking about an assignment," she replied quickly.
She decided not to tell him, since she wasn't sure about it herself. Still, the thought refused to leave her mind.
AS THE DAYS PASSED....
