Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

'She will not be needing this anymore' Page thought to herself as she stripped Myne of her clothing.

Myne was then tossed to the ground for the time being. She was left staring up at the sky, as despite being unconscious at the time, her eyes were still open and she was staring vacantly upward. Her exposed skin showed just how much she worked outside that Page's friend Crater who was with her but left to handle something on his own came back shocked.

'What was she doing in her village that led her to get a skin tan like this' he thought to himself.

"Page where are you taking her as she an actual outsider you know" Crater asked her

"I know but I am just doing this because I want to," Page told him.

Page was technically an outsider as well as she herself was not born in the village where they lived but merely raised alongside him by his mom. Even then Page was not truly accepted as one of the villagers until they were all roboticized by Reva after they discovered the Southern Guardian was real and everyone but himself and his mom was under him in some way (Page being his only ally as Carter was not Reva's but Page's instead).

"You are going to carry her back by yourself though," Crater told her.

"Yeah...Yeah...I know that as this was my idea so I am handling it" Page told him.

Myne was then thrown over Page's shoulder like a sack of potatoes and despite the height and weight difference Page and Myne. She was easily carried by the automaton girl as she was an automaton after all. Carrying a human even one as tall as Myne was no problem for her to do.

"Do not you think that there been a lot of things happening lately that have not before" Crater annoyed he sighed as they walked back to the village.

"I know right as things have been getting busy as someone might be causing problems outside of Lord Reva's domain but as long as they do not bother us then it should not be a problem" she answered.

"Guess you are right there," Crater said

Reva and he rarely saw things eye to eye as neither considered the other a friend or anything like that at all. Carter was the only one in the village who would speak out against anything Reva would do after all. Everyone in the village was roboticized and now served under someone as a result of Reva's influence minus himself and Page. Page was willingly serving Reva as she always wanted to serve under them thinking that would be how she gets accepted as being a true villager after all. That is what happened as she was right about their village being within Reva's sphere of influence as that is how everyone was just so willing to accept being roboticize without a second thought and/or care once they had been. They were all subordinate under Cami who was Reva's only subordinate herself. They were all affected by programming that made them loyal to Reva rather than having chosen to be loyal to him. Though because of some screw up that happened when he first became the Southern Guardian that loyalty to him was the only thing they were programmed for as they were still themselves in every other way according to him as even Cami was like that. Though Reva really did not care that they were just loyal to him and that was it. He really had no desire to have any control over them beyond that since he just wanted to exist within what was left of his domain in peace. The fact that it had shrunk so much from what he remembered the size of it being during the times of the Southern Guardian before him. That was a good thing as it made it easier to just stay undetected and unnoticed even more. Everyone thinking he was a myth also worked out in his favor as well too.

As for Carter and Page, they were the only exceptions as neither of them was affected like everyone else was. Page was legit loyal to him without the need for programming. She always thought that finding him would get her accepted as one of the villagers in everyone else's eyes....which it kind of did actually. While Crater was just fine as long as he did not do anything that messed with Page or his mom (who was technically his subordinate actually but he still let her be his mom and left things as they always had been)

Anyway, the two of them continued back towards the village though not before Page ordered a robot roaming around to take Myne's clothing and dump it in the usual place. That was where they dumped all the clothes of those who intruded into the South without permission beforehand. Though that was basically everyone since Reva does not want anyone coming in too deep in the remainder of his domain anyway. So Myne's clothes were left in that place and when those that originally dumped her in the South came back to confirm that she had been taken care of when dumping someone else here.

They discovered what was left of her clothes as they had left out in the open and exposed to the elements after all. So they just assumed that Myne had met the same fate as everyone else only to be blissfully unaware that things were not going to be that simple. Not getting rid of Myne in a more traditional and/or normal way would be costly not just to them but to everyone as it would be the start of something no one would have expected and/or wanted. There was something about Myne that made her unique and different then most with that having nothing to do with her height which caused her to be taller than most other women and even some guys not just back in her hometown but in general.
