This proposal was actually considered by Yang Ming not long ago.
If they told Prime Minister Sima about this, that would be indirectly opposing Prince Si.
Would Prince Si let them go?
Would he possibly use his wife's non-native status as a reason to trouble them?
He dared not take that risk!
"Hubby, I asked you a question, what do you think about this proposal?"
At this moment, Yang Ming furrowed his brow, unsure how to persuade his wife. He thought he could only tell the truth and let her decide for herself.
If he concealed it today and prevented it, one day when she found out, she would absolutely resent him.
So he spoke up, "Wife, Prince Si already knows that you are not from around here. We still don't know what actions he might take. I analyze that he took your friend back but didn't take you for two possible reasons: to use your identity to control your friend, and it's also possible he plans to take action in a few days."
