Western Talilo Desert, Desolate Ridge Ashes.
The sand dunes undulate, solidifying into eternal waves in the wind. The horizon twists and boils in the heat.
Black rocks are eroded by the wind into rugged shapes, resembling the desiccated skeletons of giant beasts, filled with the marks of time. The gravel lashes against the rocks, producing a hair-raising hissing sound, like billions of hungry beetles constantly gnawing.
Occasionally, strange lights flicker deep within the desert, ghostly green or dark purple, fleeting, as if ancient magic shards are imprisoned within the gravel, or icy eyes of elemental life lurking in the yellow sands.
This is no ordinary sea of sand, but an ancient battlefield forgotten by the Gods, the graveyard of life—Desolate Ridge Ashes.
No one knows how many years ago, this might have been a dense forest full of vitality.
It is said that in that far-reaching catastrophe, the Sun God and Wind God battled here.
