Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Royal Visit

Days passed, and Vode remained by his mother's side, trying to comfort her as she refused to eat or drink. Finally, with the help of friends and neighbors, a date was set for the burial. The chiefs were still discussing the details when Vode's mother pulled him aside, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Vode, my son, I need to tell you something," she said, her voice trembling. "They found your father in his farm, lying in his own blood. He was murdered, probably by people who envied our family's success."

Vode's heart burned with anger and a desire for justice. He vowed to find the perpetrators and make them pay. But before he could even process his thoughts, the sound of vehicles filled the air. The gate creaked open, and a convoy of black cars with bulletproof glass pulled in. Military men in suits rushed to open the doors, and a man stepped out, dressed in traditional attire.

One of the chiefs gasped in shock. "It's the second son of the King!"

Vode's eyes widened as the man approached, his presence commanding respect. He was Prince Ewuare, a royal of his hometown, the king's son, known for his intelligence and bravery.

"Vode, my condolences on your loss," Prince Ewuare said, his voice firm but compassionate. "I promise you, we will find those responsible for your father's death and bring them to justice."

Vode's heart swelled with gratitude. He would finally get the answers he sought. But he didn't know that this royal visit would mark the beginning of a journey that would change his life forever.
