Grand Line – Paradise

Near the Drum Island – On the ship of the late Wapol

Meanwhile, on the drifting submersible ship of the late Wapol, simply forgotten by everyone, the White Walky, better known as the hairy hippo Robson, found himself in an unusual situation.

The Straw Hat Pirates didn't notice he was still on the ship and simply left without him.

And here he was, unsure of how much time had passed, having eaten everything that was left behind and then entered a state of hibernation.

The drifting ship then went through several weather events that gradually destroyed it, but no matter how much things collapsed around him, Robson wouldn't wake up for anything.

And it continued like that until what was left of the ship wrecked on an island in the Grand Line, very close to the Calm Belt, causing its seas to be infested with Sea Kings. The fact that the ship's wreckage passed through them unharmed was a miracle in itself.

As soon as it touches the sand of the beach, what remains of the ship completely collapses, and from the wreckage, Robson emerges, yawning sleepily.

"Smoof?", Robson grunts, confused by the environment he found himself in.

"GRUUGRURURMMM!"

A thunderous growl from his stomach reverberates through the environment, warning him of just how starving he was.

"...Sigh... moof!", lazy by nature, Robson begins to walk slowly into the forest, hoping to find something to eat without having to move too much.

Not even managing to take two steps into the forest, Robson finds himself surrounded by a large group of naked humans, wearing tribal masks, covering their parts with leaves, and armed with stone weapons.

"Cow?"

"Cow?"

"Cow?"

"Special Cow"

"Avatar"

"Our God"

"GRUUGRURURMMM!"

"Avatar of our God is hungry!"

"Avatar of our God, we must treat as a King!"

And so, Robson becomes a worshiped and pampered animal like a God, making his dream of having a lazy and comfortable life come true.

That tribe of humans worships a God said to take the form of a cow, so cows in that tribe are sacred, and Robson, being mistaken as a special cow, became, in their eyes, the form their God chose as an avatar on the earthly plane.

=Scene Break=

Now, returning to our regular programming, in Bighorn Village, Dalton turns to the people who accompanied them from the river to that point and says, "Thank you for your help, my friends! It looks like this time we don't have to worry about anything! If you can, help arrest Wapol's former subordinates. After I assist our new friends here, we will begin their trial and then decide what to do with them!"

"Are we going to be okay letting these pirates enter the island, Mr. Dalton?", one of the citizens asks worriedly.

"We'll be fine, they are not dangerous. I speak from experience, trust me!", Dalton says, vouching for the Straw Hats.

"And the doctors, Mr. Dalton? Should we forgive them?", another citizen asks, seeking Dalton's opinion.

"I think it's worth giving them a second chance", Dalton says, giving his opinion on the matter.

"Look, guys! Another mountaineer bear!", Usopp exclaims, pointing at an elderly woman, as tall as a mountaineer bear, who was approaching them.

"Oh, Mr. Dalton! I heard pirates landed on the island. Is everything okay?", the elderly lady asks, ignoring the mountaineer salute that Luffy and Usopp, the only idiots enough, were doing.

"It's all under control, don't worry", Dalton says, reassuring her.

At that moment, an elderly, bald man with a large gray mustache passing by there, shouts from a distance upon spotting Dalton, "Hey, Mr. Dalton! I'm looking forward to the election in two days, everyone's saying they're going to vote for you, and I include myself in that!"

"No, I've made too many mistakes in my life, I'm not a good fit for the position, I'm sure there's someone better than me out there", Dalton says, trying to avoid the topic.

"It seems like they trust you a lot", Sabo comments, observing Dalton's interaction with the citizens.

"Yeah, and I appreciate that trust, but for some reason, they think electing me as the new King is a good idea", Dalton says, letting out a tired sigh.

"And you don't seem to like that idea, it seems", Sabo says, reading Dalton's expression.

"I have many flaws and have made many mistakes in life, I wouldn't make a good King", Dalton says, not thinking himself good enough for the position.

"No sentient being is perfect, not even a King. The fact that you know and admit you're a flawed man says a lot about whether or not you're a good person, and to me, you would make a good King", Sabo comments before moving on, walking away.

=Scene Break=

"This is my house, come in and lay them on the bed and sofas, I'll heat up the room while you guys do that", Dalton says as they arrive in front of a large, but modest house.

Entering the house, Dalton lights the fireplace before removing his coif and properly introducing himself to the Straw Hat Pirates. "Sorry I didn't introduce myself properly earlier. My name is Dalton, I'm the protector of this island. Sorry for the hostile reception from earlier."

"It's okay! You were attacked by pirates recently, we understand the hostility", Sabo says, speaking for everyone.

A few minutes later, the doctors finish taking the girls' temperatures one last time, showing everyone.

"42 degrees, that's too high", Dalton comments as he sees the number.

"They're getting worse little by little, so we need to take them to Dra. Kureha as quickly as possible", one of the doctors says, expressing the urgency of the situation.

"And how do you intend to transport them there? All the cable cars are inactive because their ropes were cut", Dalton asks in doubt, not seeing how they would get there.

"We're going to climb, so to speak", Luffy says, not thinking Dalton would know what Geppo is.

"If she lives in such an isolated place, what happens when there are sick people? How do you guys get to her?", Sabo asks curiously.

"We don't arrive, she descends the mountain whenever she wants, looks for and treats the sick, then takes what she wants from them as payment and leaves", Dalton says, explaining Dra. Kureha's modus operandi.

"How does she get down the mountain if she's as old as everyone says she is?", Zoro asks, leaning against the wall.

"I'm not sure, but there are rumors from people who've seen her cross the sky on a sled pulled by a reindeer, that's why they call her a witch", Dalton says, telling them about the rumors that surround Dra. Kureha's figure.

"Cool! So she's like a woman Santa Claus mixed with the healthcare system of the United States", Luffy compares, even though no one really understood what he just said.

"Well, anyway, who's coming with me to help carry the girls? Just one of you is enough, the rest stay here and get things ready for our departure", Luffy asks. After all, he could only carry two girls comfortably at the same time.

"I'll go with you", Sanji volunteers.

=Scene Break=

"And done!", Usopp says, finishing tying Vivi, unconscious, on Luffy's back.

"Are you sure you tied them properly?", Sanji asks, carrying Nojiko in his arms with Kaya tied to his back.

"Yes, I tied them as tightly as I could, you guys just have to be careful because they're unconscious, so pretty much the only thing holding Vivi and Kaya on your backs are those ropes", Usopp says, alerting them.

"Relax, we won't let them fall", Luffy, carrying Nami in his arms, reassures him.

"You seem to be serious about climbing the mountain. I won't stop you, but I suggest you go the other way. If you climb the mountain from here, you'll encounter the Lapahns, a species of carnivorous rabbits. If you run into a pack of them, consider yourselves dead", Dalton says, warning them about the dangers of taking the shorter path.

"Thanks for the warning, old man! We're taking the shorter path, Sanji!", Luffy thanks Dalton for the warning before turning to Sanji and whispering.

And then, when the two disappear into the horizon, a random citizen who had been watching from a distance approaches and asks, "Where are they going, Mr. Dalton?"

"To the castle, they're going to climb the mountain", Dalton says, explaining the situation.

"Why not use the cable car? There's still one active, isn't there?", the citizen asks, confused.

"Ah, shit! I completely forgot about that", Dalton curses as he realizes his mistake.

"Don't worry, Dalton! On foot, they'll get there faster than by cable car, trust me!", Sabo says, reassuring him.

At that moment, another citizen appears running, shouting desperately, "Mr. Dalton! One of the prisoners has escaped!"

"What?", Dalton exclaims in surprise before starting to run toward where the prisoners had been left.

With the remaining Straw Hats following him closely behind, Dalton arrives at the location and urgently asks one of the injured citizens who had been guarding the prisoners, "Where did the fugitive go?"

"The bastard went to our communication center, Mr. Dalton!", the citizen says, pointing to a direction.

Running to the location after separating from the doctors who stayed behind to care for the injured, they quickly enter the building and come across Wapol's subordinate dressed as a court jester, using a Den Den Mushi, in the middle of a conversation, "They are attacking the Kingdom of Drum, it's urgent! Send someone... description of the pirates? They are pirates, you fucking idiot! And they're very powerful, our benevolent King is in danger! Their captain is a boy who wears a Straw Hat."

"Chess!", Dalton says, recognizing the court jester.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! This is revenge, Dalton, you traitor! You may have gotten what you wanted, but I'm going to take these pirates to hell with me for what they've done", the court jester, now known as Chess, yells as he hangs up the call.

"Who did you call, Chess?", Dalton asks angrily.

"I called those who are going to kill these filthy pirates! HAHAHAHA... URGHH...", Chess laughs loudly before suddenly losing his head, literally.

"What? That guy talks too much, annoying as fuck!", Zoro asks upon noticing the looks everyone was giving him.

=Scene Break=

Meanwhile, at Marineford, a marine hangs up the call he was having and turns to his superior who was nearby, and says, "Sir! It seems we have a situation happening in one of the kingdoms affiliated with the government! The Drum Kingdom is under pirate attack!"

"Send one of our nearby contingents there!", the superior says, uninterested.

"There's a problem with doing that, sir! According to the distress call, the captain of the pirates wears a Straw Hat, which our intelligence reports as the trademark of a rookie pirate named Monkey D. Luffy, with a bounty of fifty million Berries", the marine says, informing his superior.

"I don't see where the problem is, just send someone stronger", the superior says, still uninterested.

"Intelligence says he managed to face Vice-Admiral Garp and still escaped, and the Vice-Admiral confirmed it, saying the Straw Hat kid is much stronger than we think", the marine says, getting to the core of the information.

"Alright, I get it, this is more serious than I thought! I'll talk to the Fleet Admiral!", the superior admits defeat, standing up and then heading to another part of the base.

As soon as the Fleet Admiral's office is in front of him, the marine superior sees the door being opened, with Admiral Akainu stepping out of the office.

"Admiral Akainu, sir!", the marine superior greets him, lowering his head as the Admiral passes by him.

"Commodore! What are you doing here?", Akainu asks, striking up a conversation with his work colleague.

"The Drum Kingdom called requesting assistance against a pirate attack, sir! They are being attacked by the Straw Hats crew. Their captain is a rookie pirate named Monkey D. Luffy, with a bounty of fifty million Berries. That alone wouldn't be a problem in itself! The real issue is that this kid managed to go head-to-head with Vice Admiral Garp and still escaped. So I decided to seek the Fleet Admiral's opinion on how to proceed in this situation, sir", the Commodore says, informing the Admiral of the situation.

"Hmm, let me handle this situation, I know someone who can take care of it in that region right now", Akainu takes on the task, already knowing who to send to deal with Dragon's son.
