"HMHMHMMMMHMMMMHMMMHM!", On the deck of the Merry, the two most loyal subordinates of the late Wapol, may God have mercy on his soul, screamed through their gags, undoubtedly cursing the citizens of Drum for celebrating their lord's death.
"Yeah, we know the feeling. I think it was the happiest day in a long time when we heard about Wapol's death", one of the doctors says upon seeing the citizens happy, celebrating Wapol's death.
"Wait, wait, what do you mean? Explain this properly. Since when have you guys been on our side? As far as I remember, you agreed to work for Wapol and fled with him when the pirates attacked us", Dalton asks suspiciously, not understanding why they had said that.
"It was either join him or this kingdom would have no more doctors. We are not survivors and warriors like Dr. Kureha and Dr. Hiriluk, but we are still doctors. We kept improving our skills in the hope that one day it would benefit the people of this kingdom. I won't lie, I think I can speak for all of us when I say that, at many moments, we thought about just giving up. But after that day, after those words, we refused to die as long as there was someone sick. At that point, we decided to honor the life of that charlatan doctor, so we kept going, waiting for the day when we could treat whoever we wanted on our own terms. And that day has finally come. Wapol is dead, those loyal to him are imprisoned and awaiting judgment. We only hope that you guys can give us a second chance to carry out our duties", one of the doctors, who seemed to be the most experienced among them, says, receiving nods of agreement from all the doctors around him.
"...Sigh... Alright, come, bring the sick to my house, and put on a coat, kid, you'll catch a cold like that", Dalton says, getting an idea of what kind of person Luffy is! Trusting the boy who was man enough to prostrate before them for his sick friends instead of acting like a vile pirate and simply invading without caring about the island's citizens.
Finally standing up, Luffy lets out a relieved sigh, knowing that the girls would now be safe and receive treatment.
To him, it felt like the weight of the world had just been lifted off his shoulders. And then, out of the corner of his vision, he notices his crew approaching.
Coming closer, Sanji gives Luffy a few pats on the shoulder and says, "After the girls recover, I'm going to make a ton of lasagna for everyone!"
"Oh! Shishishishishi! Nice! After barbecue, anything with pasta is my favorite food, and out of all pastas, the one I like the most is lasagna", Luffy says cheerfully, finally returning to his normal mood. He had never been as serious in his life as he had been in these past three days.
Next, Usopp approaches and asks with a smile, wrapping his arm around Luffy's neck, "Hey, Luffy! Do you think this doctor witch would join the crew? If she's as good as those old guys said, I bet Kaya will go crazy wanting to learn from her!"
"Shishishishishi! I don't know, but I'll definitely invite her! If she refuses, we can just kidnap her!", Luffy says with a laugh.
"Seriously? This kidnapping thing again?", Usopp asks, raising an eyebrow.
"What's the matter? I'm a pirate", Luffy comments, not caring about the world.
After Usopp moves on, going to help the doctors transport the girls to the house of that big guy named Dalton, Zoro approaches Luffy and greets him with a firm handshake, giving two pats on his shoulder with his free hand while looking him directly in the eyes without saying a word, walking away to help the others shortly after.
Zoro had finally understood what being part of this crew meant, and he respected it deeply.
"Alright, cool talk, I guess", Luffy says, without understanding anything of what had just happened, watching Zoro walk away.
At that moment, Sabo approaches Luffy and wraps his arm around his neck while speaking with a smile on his face, "I'm so proud of you, lil bro!"
" Proud of what, dummy? Let's go, we're wasting time standing here", Luffy comments, embarrassed, as he walks away to help transport the girls.

And then, the Straw Hats quickly grab the girls and begin transporting them to Dalton's house.
"Just so you guys know, Dr. Kureha is residing in the castle on the highest mountain, the middle rock", Dalton says as he guides them to his house in Bighorn village.
"It's all good, the hardest part, which was getting to this island without a Log or Eternal Pose, we've already done. Climbing a steep mountain is nothing", Luffy says, after all, getting to the top of the mountain using Geppo would be easy.
"Am I... am I crazy, or is there a bear walking on two legs and using a cane?", Usopp asks, starting to tremble with fear.
"It's just a mountaineer bear, it's not dangerous, just don't forget the mountaineer's greeting", Dalton explains, making a mountaineer's salute to the bear with everyone following his example, salute that the bear then returns with his own.
"Now that Wapol is dead, what do you guys plan to do with the Drum Kingdom?", Sabo asks, curious about the future of the kingdom.
"It's not called Drum anymore. For now, it's a nameless kingdom. We're in the middle of electing a new king. We suffered a lot during the last pirate attack, so we're at least trying to keep things stable until a new king is elected", Dalton says, explaining the kingdom's current situation.
"What exactly happened? Did Wapol flee in the middle of the fight against the pirates?", Sabo asked, curious.
"No, there were just five pirates, but they were very powerful. As soon as Wapol knew about their strength, he fled to the sea and left us at the mercy of those monsters' will. They destroyed the entire kingdom while laughing", Dalton says with a look of anger on his face.
"Five pirates, must have been a powerful crew then, do you know who they were?", Sabo asks, wanting to know who those pirates were.
"I don't know all their names, but their Captain was called Blackbeard", Dalton says, causing Luffy and Sabo to turn their heads towards him abruptly.
"Teach", Luffy murmurs, furrowing his brow.
"Luffy, do you think Ace...", Sabo begins to speak, turning his gaze to his brother.
"Hey, old man! Did a boy about my brother's age, with black hair, freckles on his cheeks, and wearing a cowboy hat, pass through here? His name is Ace", Luffy asks excitedly.
"Yes, this boy passed through here asking about this pirate Blackbeard, he set sail a few days ago", Dalton says, recalling the strange and charismatic boy who passed through the island asking about the pirates who attacked them.
"You hear that, Sabo? Ace is close, we're going to find him soon!", Luffy turns to his brother, completely thrilled.
"Yeah, I heard!", Sabo says with a smile.
"Sorry to ask, but why all the interest?", Dalton asks curiously. It seemed like these two knew the pirates who had attacked them and the boy who had set sail a few days ago.
"Ace is our brother, he's hunting down Blackbeard after the guy killed a crew member that our brother is part of, from behind", Luffy explains, still excited that Ace had been on this island.
"Oh, alright, anyway, we've arrived, this is Bighorn village, follow me, my house is this way!", Dalton says, finally arriving at the village.
