Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 1- End of world and what's up with my body

So how should i put this? A normal day to work turned into the END, like seriously how? Sure i hated my life but i didn't want this....

Is there anyone still alive? even those annoying people from bus, anyone please...

As the erratic light from sun grazed Alan, forcing him to squint and stare up the fractured sky? Some areas where no longer blue but gray, as if sky was fading color, but that's impossible right, Alan thought, it must be dust storm from yesterday's earthquake.

"Yes a motherfucking earthquake, atleast that's what i have gathered from my dying smartphone, the entire world was jolted, like some monster sleeping underground changed it's fucking sleep position" Alan talked while walking, taking in the devastation of landscape" Is anyone alive? Please answer" Silence greeted him in the same way it has for the past several hours.

Skyscrapers that once challenged sky now laid in ruins, flyover with crazy spirals, now laid crumpled on ground, as if the world itself was mocking humans for thinking of themselves the supreme, as for the humans, none. Not even a single human in sight, not even corpses, it's like everything with life has disappeared from earth.

*DING*

*DING*

*DING*

A series of notification buzzed but Alan remained indifferent to it. It's been the same for the last one day, maybe people are alive somewhere, maybe? Alan thought while looking at comets shooting towards earth, right, comets in daytime, If anyone told me i could see comets with sun out, I will believe them, rarely, maybe once every 50 years, a comet strong enough can overpower even sun, but this....

A dozen maybe more were shooting towards earth, and just as it seems they would crash, they magically disappear, gone somewhere like everything was an illusion.

"Anytime now" Alan muttered while covering up his ears and squatting down.

As if on cue, a terrifying screech sounded, sending the clouds dispersing, followed by another small earthquake and Alan could swear that maybe the entire earth shook not just a particular area, how? how is the earth still standing then, who knows.

"This screech and quake were stronger than the previous few ones, I wonder what is happening in the space" Alan stared at the comets defying gravity and vanishing god knows where" Whatever, I should focus on what i can do"

*END OF THE WORLD*

*EARTHQUAKE THAT SHOOK THE WORLD*

*INTERNET IS DYING*

*WORLD'S INFRASTRUCTURE COLLAPSING?*

"People still have time to make lousy videos and articles" Alan scrolled down the notifications until one caught his eye" Billions of humans dead" Alan read it out loud in shock, since it was from a reputable media house, Alan was shook completely." This can't be right? IT WAS A FUCKING NORMAL DAY" Alan raised his hand to slam his phone to the ground but stopped himself at the last moment.

"I need the phone, need to contact other humans" A ding interrupted his thoughts" 5 Percent battery remaining, great just great, there's no electricity here, how will i charge it"

Alan was drowning in despair until a signboard caught his attention.

"A mobile showroom, great , I can replace my phone or maybe grab a powerbank, since they usually keep some of them charged" Alan hurried to enter but stopped as he got closer." The structure looks like it might collapse anytime".

"Hmm? a powerbank"

As if God himself was helping him, Alan stumbled upon a powerbank flashing green light, meaning it was fully charged.

He crouched down and held it in his hand and squeezed his palm , to make sure it was real." It's real, let's go..."

THUD...KACH

Part of showroom's roof still standing collapsed heavily, stirring up a dust storm, luckily Alan wasn't caught in it.

Alan's face showed caution and some embarrassment as well" Well, well. I need to keep my voice low" But this little incident wasn't enough to shake him as he quickly connected his phone to powerbank, seeing his phone charge, finally brought a big smile on his face.

"Alright" Alan raised his hand in the air joyfully while keeping his voice down" Now, let it charge for an hour"

Finally having some hope Alan relaxed and laid down on the floor, looking at evening sky, the sun though was anything but relaxed, it flickered aggressively at times , then dimmed, as if it's about to go out anytime.

"Damn, the sun needs urgent care, someone take it to icu" Alan joked, not knowing how correct he is" I wonder how my parents are doing, this nightmarish experience has reminded me of them...fuck".

"What about my girlfriend? alive or dead" Alan muttered grimly" None of them are picking up their phones" He muttered while wiping out a tear falling from the corner of his eye.

"Again?" Alan stood up, all alert, as he looked at the greyish-white fog floating nearby." These things are everywhere nowadays." Alan kept staring as if expecting some monster to jump out of it, but nothing happened, it just drifted away.

"So far i have been lucky, found food and water. But..." Alan paused here and touched his once bleeding head and felt no pain , no mark." The wound from yesterday is gone and I don't feel tired even after walking continuously from the last 24 hours.

Yup, Alan hadn't slept in the past 24 hours, he kept on walking, hoping to see someone alive.

"Something has changed, I too have changed with it" Alan raised his palm and stared at it, as if it would give some answers." If i am getting superpowers, then they need to do better than just endless stamina perk" Alan mused with a smile but soon a pink light blanketed earth and he could swear that he could feel that the planet is rejoicing? It's a vague feeling, but he felt closeness to this pink light.

"Pink moon is back again" Alan felt scared but deep down his intuition told him, he will be safe. The pink moon completely defying its orbit was moving from one place to another, as if it was teleporting, Alan rubbed his eyes and double checked. But unlike before the sun didn't resist it, it was like a flame about to go out, maybe this condition has empowered the moon, giving it the confidence to come closer, or something else, Alan couldn't be sure.

"That scream of "what are you", i have a feeling it came from the pink moon, since everything aligns, timing and all" Alan's face became serious as he stared at the approaching moon, but this time moon wasn't alone, it had brought friends along.

A planet with a face so massive that Alan could see it without the help of telescope and a eye? a giant eye will be better word for it. The three of them stood together and stared down at earth, the sun flickered back to life, but it seemed to be falling apart, pieces broke from the sun and heavily landed on earth.

For some reason he felt a deep pity for the sun, but soon it went away.

"What does it have to do with me?" Alan shook his head and stared up with excitement" Maybe i should record it and upload it" that thought filled him with joy and some sadness.

"Let them fight, I have a feeling i would be fine".
