After Joel finished speaking, he suddenly looked at Peter and said meaningfully, "Pete, when did you become so concerned about our Mia? Didn't you already distance yourself from her previously? You even said that there's a difference between men and women when you grow up."
Peter coughed and took a step forward. "Uncle, Mia is my cousin, and she's very popular in school. Mia is too innocent and I'm just afraid that she'll be deceived by someone with ulterior motives."
Joel scanned Peter from head to toe.
The boy looked tall and handsome in a black suit. He looked like a replica of Justin. His expression was serious and he didn't look like he was lying.
Besides, Joel couldn't figure out what Peter wanted to use him for.
He patted him on the shoulder. "Okay, I understand."
With that, he turned and went downstairs.
Peter leaned against the railing of the corridor on the second floor and saw Joel come to Tanya and Mia. He said something and took the boy away in a short while.
