Above the northern wall, Veshara caught Drogath by one upper wrist and hauled him toward the watchtower.
Water sliced across her wing from the tower doorway. The casters gathered there were firing into her path while Drogath tried to wrench his arm free, and the torn membrane burned with every wingbeat.
"Getting desperate, are we?" she laughed through her teeth.
He caught her tail with his lower hands, dragging himself closer as another jet struck between her wings.
Veshara let the impact turn them, folding one wing to bring the tower behind Drogath before she drove both boots into his chest.
*BOOM!*
Drogath vanished through the tower's upper floor. As the roof collapsed into the hole after him, a burst of compressed water tore out the far wall and hurled broken beams across the northern walkway.
A broken beam swept Tervan's legs out from under him. The dragonkin who'd helmed their ship hit the walkway on his back as a heavier length of timber fell toward his chest.
