Directly at the other end of the fire was asura quietly dozing off with meng on his shoulders. This was a bit surprising as asura would never doze off in front of another person except he feels safe or unthreatened.

This sight felt like a sweet dream but they knew they couldn't savor it.
He was destined to love no one else but yu ling. This though would not be enough to deter them from their quest for his love as they could just get stronger and come back for him when yu ling rejects him. They would also kill yu ling then if she decided to interfere in their path
Feeling their soreness fading, they began to shuffle along the ground and using the walls of the cave began to get up.
When their bodies were upright, they were met with the sight of asura staring directly at them with his eyes wide open. Meng was no different.
Although, the look on the duo's faces could be identified by the trio as not one of caution, fear, anger or malice but just pure curiosity. It almost made them laugh by how innocent they are.
"thanks for saving us"
As per cultural etiquette, they thanked asura and meng for their rescue but as neither of them understood a single word, it only increased the duo's confusion
Realizing their blunder, they began thinking of a way to properly show their gratitude before meng began walking towards them and smiled at them.
While she couldn't still understand their words, she could feel their gratitude so she reciprocated the only way she knew how. Not showing hostility.
Realizing their problem as half solved, they stared towards asura expecting some form of reaction from him
But seeing as he wasn't approaching but merely staring at them still in curiosity, they decided to walk towards the edge of the entrance to survey their surroundings through the rain to figure out how far from their destination they were.

ao ning exclaimed in shock. The reason for this was that they couldn't see any part of the mountain. That could only mean two things.
Either they were so far away that the mountain couldn't be viewed or that this was their destination.
Honestly, this could be solved easily if they knew how long they were out for but phones and a lot of technology don't exist in the novel nor do they possess any form of personal clocks within their minds.
The author of the novel had made the novel to be a western fantasy theme and setting but with a hint of eastern fantasy style.
This left them with two choices.
Stay put or explore the cave they were in.
As the former would probably impede on their progress, they decided unanimously on the latter.
Taking a torch from the fire, they began walking deeper into the cave.
Asura and meng just watched their actions out of intrigue and began also following them as well.
From the tunnel, all five of them walked in silence with all of them taking sneak peeks at each other for several reasons.
Meng was sneak peeking at them due to glee at making new companions but still unsure how to approach this new relationship. Asura still due to curiosity and still recovering from the connection he had felt before and trying to understand it. The girls peeking towards Asura due to shyness at being constantly stared at by Asura.

They didn't understand why Asura was staring at them and had assumed it was because he was interested in them which could probably develop towards a romantic relationship. Though this thought of theirs made them only half right.
This continued for about ten minutes until soon enough, they began to feel a faint trace of energy pushing them away.
This though made them happy as the chances of a legacy being stored here was increasing drastically.
Increasing their pace, they were met with a two road leading to different path with each of the paths giving off an enchanting feeling. This confirmed their earlier hypothesis of a legacy stored there.
Out of pure joy, they began jubilating and jumping in joy with meng joining in their infectious bliss without still realizing why.
